I have to say that from the day one (2 years ago) when I started QSR Recruiting, the drive-thrulane.com was part of my vision. Pipelining both active and passive talent is critical when staffing for QSR because as we all know "time" is the enemy during the interview process. Taking too long to submit candidates and get them through the interview process leads to attrition. Game-changing talent usually has at maximum, one week expiration. The DT Lane is designed to get talent to my clients faster. However, the main reason I started drive-thrulane.com is because our entire industry is built upon a foundation of relationships. I always say, Kevin Bacon's "six-degrees," is nothing compared to the QSR Industry. We are all two, maybe three degrees from all knowing each other. So getting great QSR leaders into the pipeline and building relationships with them is very important. Last week, my vision became a little more real for me. We recieved a C-Level job order from a client. I was able to fill this position in less than two weeks without running a single ad, or doing a single reach-out. We had the great talent already pipelined. I was able to send 10 highly qualified candidates within 3 days of the job order and one got the job! Unfortunately, they don't all happen like that job order but using our pipeline is always step one. QSR Recruiting is growing both in Clients, and as a Company. We are grateful that over 540 QSR leaders have pipelined since we rolled this out last June. In all my experience working in the automobile industry, there have been a few traits that have differentiated a great F&I manager from a good F&I manager. One of them is strong devotion to commitment. How can an up-and-coming F&I manager stay committed? 1. Follow-up and follow through: no matter how hard it gets, make sure to keep your promises. Keep a to-do list to stay organized if you have to. 2. Be enthusiastic: enjoy what you’re doing and make sure that the customer is experiencing that enjoyment with you! 3. Stay consistent: focus on managing tasks daily for better efficiency and better performance!
