⚠️ Computer science students
If you've already secured a summer 2024 internship, great!
If you're still on the hunt, don't give up!
Nevertheless, whether you'll be looking for more internship opportunities or new grads roles, here's one of my most important pieces of advice ⬇️
START BUILDING OR CONTINUING TO DEVELOP YOUR TECHNICAL SKILL SET
For students looking for SWE internships specifically, this involves getting accustomed to LC-style questions that frequently show up in OAs and interviews.
At first, I thought that my class projects were enough to land internships, but I was wrong.
In fact, LC-style questions are designed in a way that even knowing the underlying concepts isn't enough to tackle them. You must spend time answering these types of questions! Over time, you'll recognize patterns in thi questions, which is the key!
Thus, if you've already taken a data structures and algorithm course, if you haven't already, my best advice is to start practicing LC-style questions ASAP!
Many summer 2025 internships will lieky open up this July and August, and that is the time you will likely be getting your first OAs of the recruitment process.
Thus, don't procrastinate and start that LC and DSA journey now!
