SNEAK PEEK: Our October issue is perhaps the most anticipated of the year (competing with the QSR 50, based on your preference). The QSR Drive-Thru Report has been going live for two-plus decades now. And this one was packaged up with more content than ever as we explored the results (who's fastest, most accurate, etc.) alongside a feature on AI's future in the channel, and the evolution of digital menuboards. Naturally, it made sense to put Chick-fil-A's two-story drive-thru beacon front and center, which opened back in August and can serve 75 cars at once. If you are a drive-thru enthusiast or somebody who's tracking that category, this will be the magazine for you. And speaking more widely on what it all uncovered, what I'll hint is the KPIs of drive-thru have shifted mid- to post-COVID and as consumers have transformed their transaction habits. Does speed still rule? (no easy answer ...) Has mobile ordering reset the parameters of accuracy? (the bar has lifted, for sure) What tech is accepted, wanted, and feared? (we get into a lot of it).
