Each situation is unique with different account types, family dynamics, and estate plans. The IS team reviews each situation individually to determine the information needed to distribute a client's assets to their final destination, and coordinates between departments to ensure the best possible experience for the family. We have a unique impact on our client's families' peace of mind during a time that is often very difficult for them, and aim to set ourselves apart from competitors in supporting them through the experience of managing their loved one's estate. The Opportunity: As an Inheritor Services Analyst, you will be assigned to clients with medium to highly complex estate plans and working with the family directly to ensure they are informed, educated, and updated. In addition to direct beneficiaries, you'll often work with CPAs, estate planning attorneys, corporate trustees, power of attorneys, and other parties who may need to be involved. The team will grow and evolve significantly in 2024, and all team members will have the opportunity to help find new ways to improve service to our internal and external clients while revamping processes to be more efficient and intuitive. You will report to the Inheritor Services Team Leader onsite in Camas, who will support your skill and career development. The Day-to-Day: Quarterback the death re-registration process for your assigned clients from start to finish by analyzing each situation, formulating a plan to produce the best beneficiary experience possible given the pertinent legal and bureaucratic restrictions, and orchestrating the activities of all involved parties both internal and external Communicate both verbally and in writing with all involved parties Identity and mitigate for potential business and reputational risks Provide recommendations to resolve complex issues with management Provide coaching for relationship managers and clients who are unfamiliar with the inheritance process Your Qualifications: Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience Experience with customer/client service Project management experience and capacity to prioritize based on priority Relevant background in one or more of the following areas: financial operations, the inheritance process, elder care, or case coordination Why Fisher Investments: We work for a bigger purpose: bettering the investment universe. Primary Responsibilities: Provide legal advice to Columbia Threadneedle Investments lines of business regarding products, services and operations, training/client disclosure material, contracts, and other legal matters relevant to the line of business supported. Analyze and assess risk in relatively straightforward cases or those which the General Counsel's Office has dealt with previously to offer precedent, but also comfortable addressing non-routine matters. Offer legal insight to aid in business decision-making consistent with goals and objectives. Work with/manage relationships with outside counsel, as required. Manage certain regulatory filing processes for the lines of business supported and ensure timely and accurate filings that comply with industry regulations and standards. Mitigate risk to the business. Review proposals and agreements drafted by our Contract Office or presented by the business. Edit and recommend alternatives based on a sold legal perspective and experience. Monitor laws and regulations to ensure compliance within the business line supported and enterprise overall, as appropriate. Escalate concerns and offer recommendation
