We had a great time this week welcoming the Spear trainees to the Quotacom HQ for another company visit! It is always inspiring to have the opportunity to collaborate with Spear Brighton and engage with their exceptional young trainees. Spear is an outstanding local charity that offers transformative 6-week programmes to empower young individuals to overcome challenges, develop crucial career skills, attain full readiness for the workplace, and secure long-term employment. The company visit is a crucial part of the programme as it provides trainees with a valuable chance to immerse themselves in a professional environment, connect with individuals who are already on a successful career path, and gain deeper insights into the operations of the host company. A big thanks to our Executive Search Consultants Alexandra Deacon and Charlotte B. for hosting them on the day! #Qlife #CharityPartners #GivingBack #MakeADifference #QCharity #ChangeLives

Leadership, Strategy, Website Management, Social Media, Community, Communications, B2B/B2C Digital Marketing, Insights, HR, Employee Engagement, Relations & Wellbeing. Advocates for apprenticeships.
In 2024 I made a pledge to myself to make a difference. ⭐ I'm determined to work towards that in a way that will impact more than just the industry I work in, so I am super excited to be supporting Apprentice Decent Wage Pledge and helping them in their mission to campaign for better, fairer more balanced wages for apprentices now and in the future. 🖤 I've chosen to support Apprentice Decent Wage Pledge and #BackTheFuture to make apprenticeships inclusive not exclusive. ⚖️ Whether through lower socio-economic backgrounds, or having a family or dependents to support, mid-career career-changers or not living locally to where an apprenticeship is based meaning increasing costs related to relocation and the uncertainty that can bring, just about anyone can be impacted by low apprenticeship wages. So I'm not only asking the games industry folk in my network to listen up, I'm asking employers of all sectors, particularly those running apprenticeship programs, but also those thinking of running programs to be part of the change. With more and more people out of work, with more graduates then ever unable to find work in their chosen degree, apprenticeships can provide an incredible solution, but the low wages often cause more blockers to entry than you'd imagine. ⚫ ⭐ Lets be the change we want to see in the world... #ADWP #BackTheFuture #Apprenticeships #SkillsForLife #PledgeToday #Recruitment #ApprenticeshipsForAll #ApprenticeDecentWagePledge
Finding a balance... ⚖️ The minimum wage for apprenticeships has a significant impact on both individuals & society as a whole. 🌍 Finding a balance between paying apprentices fairly and ensuring that minimum wage does not limit participation in apprenticeships, or increase reliance of government benefits is key to creating a sustainable and effective apprenticeship system. #BackTheFuture ⭐ Help to address low apprenticeship wages by joining our campaign and doing your bit to Back the Future. Not only will this ensure more completion rates on apprenticeships training professionals, but will also increase the candidate pool for recruiting apprentices across all sectors reducing blockers to entry for future apprentices from lower socio-economic backgrounds. Lets work together to make apprenticeships inclusive, not exclusive. ✨ Join the pledge: https://lnkd.in/duB57yJS #ADWP #BackTheFuture #Apprenticeships #SkillsForLife #PledgeToday #Recruitment #ApprenticeshipsForAll #ApprenticeDecentWagePledge

UK charities are hiring staff with 'privilege not potential' according to a report by the EY Foundation. How can charities recruit more working class talent? There are a few ways that charities can be more inclusive for people from a working class background. In our view a good place to start is: ✅ Offering paid training programmes like funded internships and apprenticeships. 🙅 Getting experience in the charity sector shouldn't come at a cost. --- Image Description: the test on the image reads, "How can charities recruit more working class talent?" the text is white on a Charity People green background with dark green patterns in the corners. #WorkingClass #CharitySector #Charities

📢 ***Future fundraisers, we need you!*** Now that is something that I say EVERY single day. How are we going to continue our amazing work if we aren't planning for the future of our space? How do we continue to raise funds for such critical local, national and global work if we aren't educating outside of our sector on the awesome world that is fundraising as a career!? Fundraise for Australia is such an incredible program and initiative and quite frankly everyone - we NEED to get behind this because....we NEED the next generation of fundraisers! If you know people looking to develop in our space or if you have connections outside of the sector who are looking for a more impactful career then please share this with them. Considering a career in fundraising can be highly rewarding and impactful for several reasons. Here are some compelling reasons to pursue a career in this field: **Make a tangible difference: Fundraisers are pivotal in enabling non-profit organisations to carry out their missions. By securing necessary funds, you directly contribute to causes that improve lives, support communities, and drive social change. **Personal fulfilment: Working in fundraising allows you to align your career with your personal values and passions. Being part of initiatives that you deeply care about provides a sense of purpose and fulfilment. Seeing the direct impact of your work on individuals and communities is incredibly satisfying. **Diverse opportunities: The field of fundraising offers a variety of opportunities across different sectors and causes. From healthcare and education to environmental conservation and the arts, you can find roles that match your interests. This diversity also means there are many pathways for career growth and specialisation. **Skill development: A career in fundraising helps you develop a broad skill set. Skills such as strategic planning, relationship building, communication, marketing, project management, and financial analysis are honed through fundraising activities. **Creative and strategic thinking: Fundraising requires both creativity and strategic thinking. Developing compelling campaigns, crafting persuasive messages, and finding innovative ways to engage donors are integral parts of the job. This aspect makes the work dynamic and intellectually stimulating. Sounds great right!? It really is. So…you need to apply for the 2024 Fundraise for Australia (F4A) national fellowship program, link below. https://lnkd.in/gBnGnA87 #FundraiseforAustralia #Fundraising #F4A
