💡 Quantum technology is making a breakthrough. And the Netherlands wants to be at the forefront of this revolution. 👏 The introduction of the new Master's programme in Quantum Computing Science at the UvA emphasizes the strategic importance that the country attaches to innovation in this field. With this step, UvA is taking an important leap forward in training the next generation of quantum specialists. 🧠 John van de Wetering, director of the program stressed the unique position of this program and its relevance in an interview with Folia "There is investment in people who can work in the sector and therefore in programs like ours. While many universities struggle with having enough qualified lecturers who can teach at that level, UvA is in a position of enormous luxury. The UvA distinguishes itself not by focusing on the computer hardware such as chips, cooling systems, etc., but on the software and what you can do with such computers."
