We are proud to share that EIT Food Accelerator Network alumnus constellr has achieved a key milestone towards the launch of their first satellite and successful spacecraft integration, which will propel the startup into the commercial space sector. The payload for constellr's 1st satellite to be launched in October has been shipped by OHB Sweden and received at Kongsberg NanoAvionics’ facilities in Vilnius for integration with the platform. The project now stands at the brink of the crucial entire satellite assembly, integration and testing (AIT) phase. Overcoming numerous challenges on the way, the constellr team has successfully navigated the journey from conceptualisation to execution with key focus towards the launch deadline with SpaceX in Autumn. Congratulation to Max Gulde (CEO), Christian Mittermaier (CFO), Tobias Menne (CCO) and the entire constellr team. The successful spacecraft integration will not only mark a significant mission achievement, but it will propel constellr into the commercial space sector. Enabled by European Space Agency - ESAInCubed and partners, constellr comes one step closer to supporting food security on Earth. #foodsystemtransformation #startupacceleration #foodtechinnovation

“How did we build one of the strongest spacetech teams in the country?” . . . . We shared this and more during our conversation with Elevation Capital, reflecting on our journey so far. Grateful to Elevation Capital for giving us the platform to share our story—a story of relentless curiosity, collaboration, and a shared vision to shed light on the vast oceans using cutting-edge technology. Here are some of the focus areas which we talked about, during our conversation: ✅ How have we managed to navigate multiple supply chain delays to ensure the timely readiness of our satellite? ✅ How were we able to build Varuna in just 9 months with such a small team? ✅ Why do we insist on meeting every potential hire in person before bringing them onboard? This conversation sheds light on our systems, processes, and how we are working towards building a name for ourselves in the Indian spacetech sector. Thank you, Manish Advani, and the Elevation Capital team, for making this experience so special. We hope our story resonates with those who dare to dream big and take on challenges that truly matter. Let’s keep building towards a future where the oceans are no longer a blind spot. 🌌 The link to the podcast’s YouTube video is in the comments. #spacetech #satellite #innovation #IndianStartups #maritimesurveillance
"No one really knows what happens in 70% of Earth's surface” This stark reality drove Gaurav Seth and Vinit Bansal to create PierSight, a spacetech startup using SAR and AIS-equipped satellites to pierce through this maritime blindspot and bring 24/7 visibility to the world's oceans. When the former ISRO scientist Gaurav and National Instruments engineer Vinit first collaborated on a prototype that normally takes months to build, they completed it in just six weeks. This "aha moment" sparked a journey to revolutionize maritime surveillance through a constellation of all-weather imaging satellites. In this illuminating Day One conversation with Manish Advani (Vice President, Elevation Capital), Gaurav and Vinit discuss their journey of building PierSight, why they chose SAR vs optical imaging, their unique approach to team building, going after the right applications, what it takes to win defence contracts, and early market validation while navigating the challenges of building a deep-tech startup in India. Two Indian startups, Pixxel and Digantara, achieved a historic milestone by launching their advanced satellites aboard a SpaceX rocket. Pixxel unveiled its Firefly satellites, the world's highest-resolution commercial-grade hyperspectral satellites, offering unparalleled imagery for applications in agriculture, defense, climate action, and water quality. Digantara introduced SCOT (Space Camera for Object Tracking), the world’s first commercial satellite dedicated to monitoring space debris and ensuring safer space operations. These advancements mark a transformative step in India's private space sector, showcasing global leadership in space technology and sustainability. #IndiaInSpace #SpaceTechnology #Pixxel #Digantara #SatelliteInnovation #HyperspectralImaging #SpaceDebris #Sustainability #PrivateSpaceSector #SpaceExploration #TechLeadership Read more at : https://lnkd.in/gvv4uRdC
