👩💼 When you work on a product, you often have to think about creating a great experience for all of your customer archetypes, because they have interrelated and cascading effects. ➡ For example: In order to make #tesla's Megapack 🔋 or electric vehicles 🚗 a great customer experience for the buyers of these products, you have to make both the purchasing and servicing of these products, (in addition to the actual hardware,) easy, reliable, and straightforward. 🛒 I think the industry as a whole generally has figured out the "how to buy stuff" part of the user flow: Online checkout and credit card payment flows work and consumers understand them. ⚒ However, servicing of these products isn't well defined yet, and that's why you sometimes see such frustrating experiences with electric vehicle charging or energy storage products, because they aren't well maintained. 👷♂️ In order to make the servicing of these products excellent, we have to think about another customer type: service technicians--how we make the tools for them delightful and easy to use? ✍ I'm hiring for a #technicalwriter who will build out our Tesla Megapack, Powerwall, and Supercharger technical product content. If you are curious about how energy products work, this is your opportunity to dive into the details and become an expert.
