As National Suicide Prevention Month concludes, we remain committed to supporting our team members and continuing our ongoing efforts to raise awareness for mental health. If you’ve connected someone who may be contemplating suicide with the support they need to stay safe, now is the time to take the next step: #BeThe1To Follow up. Reach out, check in, and inquire about their well-being. Staying connected shows that you care, and they are not alone.

September is Suicide Prevention Month, a time dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of mental health and the steps we can all take to prevent suicide. It's a crucial time to promote open conversations, offer support to those who may be struggling, and share resources that can help save lives. This month reminds us that reaching out, listening, and showing compassion can make a significant difference. Whether it's through educating ourselves, supporting loved ones, or advocating for mental health services, every action counts in the fight against suicide. If you or someone you know is struggling, remember that help is available. You don't have to face this alone—there are people who care and are ready to support you. Let's work together to spread hope, raise awareness, and save lives. www.tema.foundation #temafoundation #mentalhealtheducation #mentalhealthtraining #mentalhealthintheworkplace #suicidepreventionmonth

Today is 'World Suicide Prevention Day', and we want to recongise that discussing mental health can be challenging for many of us, especially when we talk about suicide. Perhaps many of us have thought, "Why do I need this knowledge?" or "Surely, it doesn't concern anyone I know". However, it could affect someone from our workplace, a colleague, a friend, or a family member. That's why it's valuable to know how to react. We acknowledge that it's okay to struggle with this subject, it's not easy. But we also have to start to do more. Our friends at Emplomind shared with us this handy resource on "What can I say to someone who is having Suicidal Thoughts". Remember, it’s not your responsibility to have the answers, but you do have an opportunity to really listen, be empathetic, and then know where you can signpost them for professional help. #MentalHealth #WorldSuicidePreventionDay

Today is World Suicide Prevention Day, with a focus on "Changing the Narrative on Suicide" and "Starting the Conversation". Let's encourage open dialogues to prevent suicides. While I've always been open about my mental health struggles, statistics show that only around 45% of people feel comfortable discussing suicidal thoughts. Remember, reaching out for support is crucial. Whether it's a friend or a helpline, starting the conversation can make a difference. If you need help, call 116 123 to speak to someone at the Samaritans or call the Mind support line on 0300 102 1234. #WorldSuicidePreventionDay

Team HC is proud to participate in Construction Suicide Prevention Week 2024. It is critical that we place as much focus on mental health in our workforce as much as we do the physical. Let's do more than raise awareness but take action - have hard conversations, provide resources to our teams and speak about mental health battles, suicide, depression, etc. to lessen the stigma. #teamHC #SuicidePreventionWeek2024 #SuicideAwareness

Today, on World Suicide Prevention Day, we come together to raise awareness and break the stigma surrounding mental health. Every 40 seconds, the world loses a life to suicide, with nearly 800,000 deaths annually. Suicide is the fourth leading cause of death among 15-29 year-olds. But there is hope. Reaching out, listening without judgment, and offering support can make all the difference. If you or someone you know is struggling, don't hesitate to seek help. Together, we can prevent suicide.
