Really interesting video about the new Rabbit R1. AI based companion that can potentially replace the smart phone and based on this video it will be extremely useful day to day. The travel feature seems amazing and is something I would make use of and I’m very impressed at the price point. The reality is todays smart phones are way over priced and each iteration is not worth it. At the current price point it’s absolutely a no brainer in my opinion to try this… I’m sure over the coming years some new players will join the mix as well as the players we already know. So, I've been giving some more thought to the Rabbit R1, and I wanted to share a few more personal insights with you all: What's Cool: Super Handy: It's like a mini robot helper that can handle all your app needs. Think of it as a smart, pocket-sized assistant that's trying to make life easier. Smart Features: The R1's ability to learn and take over repetitive tasks is a game-changer. It's like teaching it a trick once, and then it just knows what to do next time. But, Here's What I'm Not Digging: The Look and Feel: Honestly, I'm not a fan of its design. It's square with a small screen and has this scroll wheel thing – it just looks odd. I miss the sleekness and comfort of a regular smartphone. It's not something that I find comfy to carry around in my pocket. Privacy Concerns: Where does all our personal info go? I'm really worried about this. It's cool that it can book flights and order food, but I want to know which services it's using. Like, is it Booking.com for flights or UberEats for food? And how secure is our data with this device? Data Transfer Speeds: With all the data it needs to download and upload, you’d really need fast internet for it to work smoothly. That could be a bit of a hassle if you're not always around strong Wi-Fi. A Little Dream: Apple and Rabbit R1, Maybe?: Imagine if Apple's sleek design and Rabbit's smart tech could merge. That would be something! A gadget that's both easy on the eyes and brainy. Final Thoughts: While I really like where the R1's technology is heading, I'm still sitting on the fence with this one. It's undoubtedly smart and user-friendly, but the design, privacy issues, and reliance on fast internet are things I can't overlook just yet. It's a step towards the future for sure, but maybe not quite the leap I was hoping for.

With AI continuing to expand with pace, it was interesting to see the Rabbit R1 launch and see more of what is being termed “the new iphone”. Rabbit R1 moves beyond apps and, to grossly over simplify, in effect combing Siri + ChatGPT + Plaid + the internet through Large Action Model. Is this now starting to address some major challenges we see in safety? Quicker and easier access to information and data? Support and improve critical risk control? Ease of access to systems? Streamlining work where today admin has to be completed so supporting decluttering? Create seamless systems where today there may well be multiple apps or web based platforms that have to be used? AI has massive potential to support better safety whilst also bringing potentially new risk and complexity. What is undeniable is the pace of change coming with AI and the upskilling needed within the profession to manage and support that change whilst leveraging it for the good.

The emergence of Rabbit R1 could redefine the way we interact with various apps / super apps on smart phones. Going forward, smart phones could have assistant mode & app mode. The assistant mode could well be same as what Rabbit R1 offers. One simple interface interacting with various apps/services at the backend seamlessly. UX super simplified. Application developers could well be developing services only as APIs and integrating with super integrated platform such as rabbit Any thoughts?

Embracing new AI-driven interactions is not just bold; it's essential. I've long advocated for harnessing AI technologies like LLMS and ML to revolutionize consumer experiences. The Rabbit r1 is a great example of this innovative spirit. I'm a believer that the future needs to be different from our present. A future where AI won't replace us, but instead enhances our lives. This involves pioneering new ways to interact with technology and the world around us. Admittedly, there's a looming risk of a dormant future dominated by tech addiction. However, products like the Rabbit r1 represent a significant step away from this path. They enable us to break free from the constant pull of screens and the myriad distractions of entertainment and social media. This product embodies the kind of transformative interactions we should – and can – introduce to the world. Another critical aspect is the potential reduction in electronic waste, an issue that has been escalating unchecked for years. While he r1 might not be a best seller, it might become a case study in the future. I for one am thinking of getting one.

the large language model (LLM) understands what you say, but a large 'action' model (LAM) gets things done. How many of you, by a show of hands, have picked up your phone to do something simple and upon unlocking your phone you go to your favourite app first, waste ten minutes doom scrolling, and then realize you didn't do the thing you intended? "I MUST check my socials before texting my partner!" MUST you⁉ I ordered rabbit inc.'s R1 to test the assumption that these type of devices will help me use my phone less. I like the concept of the rabbit's app-less OS backed by their "Large Action Model" and am excited to see if this device can help me stay productive without all the distractions of a smartphone. Obviously its in it's first iteration and won't be able to replace my phone in its current state but overtime will be able to replace more and more of my everyday smartphone tasks. I feel like these devices, developed in the right way, could help us create healthier relationships with the technology that powers us and allow the tech to serve us better as opposed to the many apps that sap our attention and steal precious moments of our days. It's like having candy around the house. You go to the kitchen for something healthy and end up grabbing some garbage because its the first shiny, bright, sugary, endorphin-dumping, thing you see. Even if it isn't the first thing you see... you know it's there and therefore go for your fix instead of the healthy choice. The solution is... don't have it in your house in the first place! This, to me is the promise of A.I. voice controlled devices. My only option is to pick it up and ask it to do exactly what I was intending to do as voice is my ONLY option for controlling the device. I have been deep-diving into Prompt Engineering and planning to do some AI chatbot deployments and then I bumped into this gem. r1 is built off of an LAM: Large Action Model - new foundational model that understands and executes human intentions on computers driven by research in Neural Symbiotic systems.
