𝗦𝗼 𝗻𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗬𝗲𝘁 𝗦𝗼 𝗳𝗮𝗿
Dear Lions
I heard this phrase first time when I heard a commentary of a batsman missing a century by a few runs.
It resonated with me in the past two days as I heard students talk about missing opportunities
* I did all the test cases right. But did not get shortlisted.
* I did the interview well. Did not make it to the HR round.
* My HR interview was great. But my name did not appear in the selection.
...𝗦𝗼 𝗻𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗬𝗲𝘁 𝗦𝗼 𝗳𝗮𝗿
Behind every one of these wonderful words lies trust, confidence, faith, hope and belief. Faith in the University. Belief in the faculty. Trust in the team that runs Placement. Belief about being a proud Lion. Hope about the Industry recognizing the Lions for who they are.
𝗗𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗟𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 - 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗾𝘂𝗲𝗿.
Dear Lions - 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲. 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗱. 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄𝘀 𝟱 𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀. 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗛𝗥 𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝟯 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀. 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗴𝗼𝘁 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿.
Now - what does it prove?
𝗜𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀.
Imagine climbing a mountain. But failing to make a jump at the last hurdle. What are the ways to look at it? I failed to clear the hurdle. Or I know how to climb the mountain now I need to learn how to jump?
Lions - Can we jump?
What happened to the cricketer dismissed in the 90s? If my memory is right, his name is Sunil Manohar Gavaskar. 34 Centuries. 5 times dismissed in 90s. What do we remember him for? The 34 centuries or the 5 dismissals?
What must we recall now? 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝟱 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀 in coding rounds or 10 successes in clearing test cases or 3 successes in clearing Tech interviews 𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 𝗮𝘀 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀?
Who are we? We are the Lions.
Tomorrow and this week is ours. Let us Believe. Let us start running. 𝗡𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗮𝗺𝘂𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 (he told me in my sleep) that 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝟰 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗶 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗟𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗱. (You can ask Nostradamus if you do not believe me).
