"But you're just an intern!"
Heard that before?
I started out as an intern, navigating the same doubts, questions, and occasional underestimation that most interns face.
But here’s the thing—I didn’t stay “just an intern” for long.
In 4 months, I went from intern to Head of Admin.
How?
By mastering the art of influence without authority.
Here’s the playbook I used:
1/ Be the go-to problem solver. The more involved you are, the more indispensable you become.
2/ Build relationships across all levels. You never know who can vouch for you.
3/ Over-deliver consistently. If you do more than what they expect, you get more than you deserve.
4/ Share credit generously. Great projects are always done by great teams.
5/ Speak up with well-researched ideas. If you need to put forth an idea, be extremely clear about what’s going on in your mind.
Your fresh perspective is an asset, not a liability.
Use it to challenge the status quo - respectfully.

2moI deeply appreciate companies that give students the opportunity to learn, experience early career life, and gain valuable skills. It's impressive how they help students make the most of their time in a productive and meaningful way. Well done, Rabbit!
