Baking banana bread so I can continue one of my new favorite traditions: Breakfast with the BGM. A couple of months ago, hearing a best practice from a peer, I implemented monthly small group conversations with my field employees. Because I am a good midwesterner who shows care through food, I make them breakfast! These conversations have been extremely fruitful, building trust and opening dialogue regarding every day challenges. I look forward to it each month!

I have really struggled with words after the loss of a dear friend and colleague last Friday. Pat Astor was an amazing friend, supporter, advocate and leader. He constantly amazed me with his quick wit and ability to solve any problem. He helped me grow so much as a leader. He helped me be a better person. He made me laugh when I was beat down. He fiercely supported me as I made hard decisions. He stepped in when I took the job in Jacksonville. He continued to be my sounding board and I his right up to the end. The world has a hole in it now. Rest in Peace, Pat. This whole company (and world) is better because you were here.
