Colours of Motherhood: Fun stats about the Magazine It's currently being read in 2 states, can we spread it to another before the end of the year? I promised $1 from every sale up until the end of November to be donated. We raised $62 to go to The Nurtured Village Hampers, which is equivalent to donating more than 8 meals for a mum in need. This is so special that we've been able to raise some funds for mums. You are all amazing, that's 8+ meals more than they had funds for before this. 5 waiting rooms currently display the magazine, and I'm hearing feedback that it needs to be in every waiting room - all businesses that look after mums this is perfect! It's currently found in 3 medical practices, 1 psychology clinic and 1 physiotherapy clinic. Have you read the magazine, or know a clinic/ practice that could pop a copy in their waiting room? Let's extend the validation of motherhood experiences and help more mums. Can you let them know about it, or leave feedback on what you thought of the magazine? ☺️

💰Your donation could be the difference!💰 As I gear up (quite literally) for the upcoming #leamingtinspahalfmarathon over the next four weeks, I’m looking to secure as many donations as possible. It’s so easy sometimes to be overwhelmed with people asking for donations for great causes. Currently I have raised enough for someone to receive their physiotherapy appointment, for nearly a week of accommodation upkeep or for over 6 hours of specialist #nursing care. Wouldn’t it be great to raise enough to fund a respite bed or cover the costs of a patients well-being services. ☕ If all of my LinkedIn connections donate just £2, (half the price of a cup of coffee!) that could raise enough for nearly a month of accommodation upkeep alone! This video explains perfectly how much of an impact your donation can make and why donations towards The Myton Hospices is so crucial. #Donate below! https://lnkd.in/dGycR9t9

🤝We need your help to support the work we do. We are entirely reliant on your generosity to continue supporting those affected by PCD. The money that you fundraise for PCD goes a long way in supporting those affected by PCD and their families. - £70 will pay for an Aerobika (physio device) - £150-£200 will pay for exercise equipment i.e. trampoline - £500 will sponsor a researcher to attend a conference - £1000-£2000 will pay for an important medical article to be made free to the public - £6000+ will pay for a free fun day out for our patients and their loved ones Want to help? If you have an idea for a fundraiser, we recommend setting up a JustGiving Page for PCD Support UK (let us know if you need help doing this!) If you would like to raise funds for us then please contact us with a list of what items you need, the delivery address, details of what you are planning, the date and location. Please also feel free to spread the word about your fundraising activities too – we are happy to share your event on our social media pages, on our website, and in our newsletter. www.PCDSupport.org.uk #PCDAwareness #PCDSupportUK #PCD #JustGiving #Fundraising

Did you know that DEBRA UK provided 424 support grants totalling £105,407 last year? The demand for grants is increasing each year and was 14.2% higher in 2023 than in 2022. Jade, one of our Community Support Area Managers, explains how specialist items funded through support grants, make a difference for children living with EB. "Babies who are born with EB can't use normal nappies or wear normal clothes. The seams will affect their skin. A pair of soft seamless mittens are really good to wear, so they don't scratch their face or their skin. The same goes for seamless baby clothes, it reduces the friction on their skin. Unfortunately these items can be expensive so we are able to offer support grants for families to help with the cost of these items." Please donate today and help provide comfort for EB children like Albi: bit.ly/3U8i8dl Or text ALBI followed by your donation amount to 70490 to give that amount. (Texts will cost the donation amount plus one standard network rate message, and you’ll be opting into hearing more from us. If you would like to donate but don't wish to hear more from us, please text ALBINOINFO instead.)
