Our latest research paper has been published in the esteemed Journal of Clinical Case Reports and Images! 🎉 🤔 Curious about the innovative Hybrid Limited Shoulder Surgical Management (HLSSM) technique developed by Sayed Issa? This groundbreaking approach combines arthroscopic and open surgical methods to provide optimal outcomes for shoulder joint issues. 🔍 The study, spanning over 31 months and involving 44 cases, highlights the effectiveness of HLSSM in treating various shoulder conditions. With a mean operation duration of just 35 minutes and no major complications reported, it's evident that this technique is both safe and efficient. 💡 What sets HLSSM apart is its simplicity, safety, and cost-effectiveness, making it a viable option for patients worldwide. Particularly in regions where advanced arthroscopic procedures may be inaccessible, HLSSM offers a promising alternative. 👩⚕️👨⚕️ This technique is not only suitable for experienced hand surgeons but also holds potential in Mini Lateral Shoulder Approach (MLSA). Whether you're in the medical field or simply interested in cutting-edge healthcare innovations, this article is a must-read! 📚 For more detailed insights into HLSSM and its implications, check out the full article here: https://lnkd.in/gbc_aa92 Stay informed, stay ahead! 💪 #MedicalInnovation #HealthcareResearch #ShoulderSurgery #HLSSM

Choosing a surgical option isn't just about affordability. While Turkey offers cost-effective procedures due to favorable exchange rates, lower living costs, and a competitive healthcare market, balancing cost with quality is crucial. Higher-priced options often mean higher quality standards, experienced surgeons, and advanced technologies. For procedures like breast implants and tummy tucks, it's essential to assess your needs, research surgeons and facilities, and weigh the benefits and risks. This ensures you make informed choices prioritizing your well-being and long-term health. Choose wisely, prioritize quality, and ensure your safety. Over the 2022-23 academic year, our senior design team collaborated with medical professionals to address unmet clinical needs. CRNA Jane Swing, from the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC), identified a critical issue in monitored anesthesia care (MAC) cases. Hypoxemia affects over 3 million surgical patients annually, highlighting the need for innovative solutions. Enter AnesthEZ, a foam pillow with a rigid set of arms designed to enhance patient oxygen saturation levels during surgery by proactively positioning the neck and mandible. This design prevents hypoxemia and aims to reduce postoperative complication rates, ultimately improving patient outcomes. AnesthEZ's adjustable mandible and jaw holders offer a practical and effective approach compared to manual methods, potentially revolutionizing airway patency maintenance in clinical settings. Thank you to Jane Swing, Minhyun Shin, Sam Rubin, Jack DeWaele, and Colton Pereyo' for their hard work and support throughout the project. #MedicalInnovation #HealthcareTechnology #PatientCare #Anesthesia

3 Reasons Why Vascular Surgeons Rely on the CGuard™ EPS Carotid Stent System 1. Safety with MicroNet™ The MicroNet™ mesh acts as a shield, trapping and sealing thrombus and plaque against the vessel wall. This crucial feature prevents plaque prolapse and embolization, enhancing safety during the carotid stenting process* 2. Simplicity with SmartFit™ SmartFit™ eliminates the need for a tapered version and supports accurate vessel wall apposition. This both simplifies the procedure and enhances patient safety* 2. Success with Clinical Superiority In an ongoing IDE study, the 30-day C-Guardians results show a remarkably low major adverse event rate of just 0.95% post-procedure* Watch this space to see how it shapes the future of carotid artery stenting #medicalinnovation #vascularHealth #cguard #strokeprevention *Data on file >>> https://lnkd.in/d9zfEgGD

Another #cardiology first for Delray! Delray Medical Center is the first hospital in South Florida to offer an innovative treatment for patients with slow or irregular heart rhythms, using the new AVEIR™ DR dual chamber leadless pacemaker system. The first surgery was performed at the hospital by Dr. Mark Freher on April 18th. Approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in June 2023, the AVEIR DR system, which is manufactured by Abbott, provides a new minimally invasive option to treat people who require pacing in two chambers of the heart (both the right atrium and right ventricle). Unlike traditional pacemakers, leadless devices are implanted directly into the heart and eliminate the need for cardiac leads. Traditional pacemakers require an incision to implant a battery in a pocket under the patient’s skin in the collarbone area. Wires from the battery are then stretched through veins and attached to the heart muscle. Studies have shown that some patients who are implanted with traditional, wired pacemakers can experience such complications as bleeding or infection in the surgical pockets or blood clots around the wires.
