🌟 Our Rescue Center is Thriving! 🌟 We're overjoyed to share some incredible news with you all! Starting this October, our #RealzHandsofLoveBoysRescueCenter will be fully operational and ready to welcome its first occupants. Through hard work, dedication, and the support of our amazing community, we are well on our way to transforming this space into a haven for 30 street-connected young boys aged 5-15. The improvements made will create an environment that is #safe, #nurturing, and #conducive to their growth and development. They also need a safe and supportive environment for their development, health, and education. Child safeguarding is the process of protecting children and young people from harm, abuse, neglect, and exploitation. It is a shared responsibility of everyone who works with or interacts with children and young people. Here are some key points you need to know and do for child safeguarding: ✔️Know the signs and indicators of abuse and harm, such as physical injuries, emotional distress, behavioral changes, poor hygiene, or lack of supervision. ✔️Know the policies and procedures for reporting and responding to suspected or actual cases of abuse and harm, such as who to contact, what to document, and how to support the child or young person. ✔️Know the best practices for preventing and reducing the risks of abuse and harm, such as creating a safe and supportive environment, building positive relationships, promoting children’s participation and empowerment, and educating children and young people about their rights and responsibilities. ✔️Be aware, respectful, supportive, and proactive in protecting children and young people from harm, abuse, neglect, and exploitation.
