An architect needs high-end imagery to convey the accurate design intent. 9 years ago, I enhanced my 3D rendering with VIZPARK 3D assets. I lacked high-quality 3D models and plugins for my visualizations. Before the VIZPARK owner introduced me to Corona Renderer for 3ds Max, I had no clue how to craft photorealistic images in record time. I would use the 3ds Max built-in Mental Ray engine to produce still images. It would take me forever to create ok results. One time, I spent 52 hours processing a still image for a client! That was insane! My computer was locked in with rendering tasks, and I wouldn’t use it for anything else. When the time to use Corona Render came, I freed myself from the Mental Ray’s shackles. I now had a more intuitive rendering engine to work with. Less parameters to set up, less rendering time, and fewer computer resources to use (my CPU thanked me for that). VIZPARK 3D assets were critical to my rendering workflow. I bought all the collections and plugins to supercharge my architectural visualizations. I discovered new ways of creating variety and realism for my design projects. And I passed that benefit on to my customers. VIZPARK’s owner and I are still in a good relationship, and I’m here to root for his business so it helps more architects around the world craft better architectural visualization. See it for yourself here: https://lnkd.in/eHEBgjp4 ✌🏽 Enjoy.

Why do you need to think about external 3d visualization services? Let's dive into a rough estimation. The cost of maintaining an in-house 3D artist can vary depending on several factors, including the artist's location, experience, and the specific software and resources needed. Here’s a general breakdown of the estimated monthly expenses: Salary The artist's monthly salary can range from $3,000 to $8,000, depending on experience and expertise. Software Licenses Essential tools such as 3ds Max ($200/month) and Adobe Photoshop ($21-$55/month) are required. Additionally, licenses for specialized plugins like RailClone and Forest Pack (~$200/month combined) are crucial for efficient workflows. 3D Models and Assets Depending on project needs, acquiring 3D models can cost between $50 and $200 monthly. Hardware and Maintenance High-performance workstations, necessary for rendering and modeling, have a depreciated monthly cost of around $200-$300, with additional electricity costs estimated at $50-$100 monthly. Additional Costs Training, development, and miscellaneous expenses like cloud storage or backup services can add another $150-$300 per month. Total Estimated Monthly Cost: The total can range from ~$3,671 to ~$9,200 monthly, depending on the level of expertise and additional overheads. This estimate doesn't include costs such as health benefits, recruitment fees, or bonuses, which could further increase the total investment. Crafting a captivating visual representation involves more than just using software. The ability to express emotions through a 3D rendering is a powerful way to enhance the quality of your client's design. While I don't change my clients' designs, I aim to create an atmosphere and evoke emotions that complement the overall design. To achieve this, I selectively work with clients who are open to sharing ideas. This approach helps build long-lasting and consistent business relationships. #cgi #lifestylerender #coronarender #archviz #design #interiordesign #3dvisualisation #3drender #3dsmax #3d #designer #architecturalvisualisation #3dvisuals #architecturalrender #architects

Why Architects Shouldn't Visualize Projects Themselves: The Case for External 3D Artists Architects are visionaries, but when it comes to translating that vision into compelling visualizations, it's often more effective to collaborate with dedicated 3D artists or to have a specialized team in-house. Here’s why: Time Efficiency: Architects are already balancing a multitude of tasks—designing, planning, client meetings, and more. Outsourcing or assigning visualization tasks to a specialized 3D artist allows architects to focus on core responsibilities, ensuring that the design process is both efficient and innovative. Specialized Expertise: 3D artists are trained specifically in visualization techniques. They have in-depth knowledge of the latest software, rendering engines, and design trends, which enables them to produce photorealistic and highly detailed images that can truly capture the essence of a project. Objectivity: An external 3D artist can offer a fresh perspective. They can visualize a project with an unbiased eye, often catching details or potential issues that might be overlooked by someone who is deeply involved in the design process. Enhanced Client Communication: High-quality visualizations help clients better understand the architect's vision. When 3D artists are involved, the end product is often more polished and easier for clients to grasp, reducing the need for extensive revisions and speeding up project approvals. Cost-Effectiveness: While it might seem like an added expense, utilizing external visualization services can be more cost-effective in the long run. It reduces the need for architects to invest in expensive software, training, and additional time, ultimately leading to faster project turnarounds. By integrating the expertise of 3D artists, architects can elevate their designs and ensure that their projects are communicated as clearly and effectively as possible.
