Eggshell Powder: A Sustainable Strength Booster Discarded eggshells, rich in calcium carbonate, are proving to be a game-changer in construction. When used as a partial replacement for cement (5-10%), eggshell powder enhances the compressive strength of concrete while reducing cement usage and CO2 emissions. This innovative approach not only recycles waste but also promotes sustainable construction practices without compromising quality. Are we ready to build greener with solutions like this? #Sustainability #EggshellPowder #GreenBuilding #CO2Reduction #EcoFriendly

A good winter composting tip: lower the carbon to nitrogen ratio to generate more heat in your windrows and avoid turning when it’s really cold because it takes about 24 hours for your piles to heat back up. And use a good turner! BACKHUS and Menart offer models for every composting need and budget. https://hubs.li/Q02Zlnd30

Take a look at this. What is it? This material is reactor Digestate taken from the bottom of a reactor at an Anaerobic Digestion plant. How is it disposed of? Landfill. Is it Expensive? Yes. So what's my point of this post? We along with Avermann Group Sebright Products, Inc. spent two days at a potential customers site testing materials and this was the highest moisture content material to test. Initial moisture before putting this material through the dewatering system was 95.42% and total weight 30.95kg. Post process, the moisture content was 32.48% and total weight 11.60kg. Meaning 19.35kg of liquids were removed. Total mass weight reduction of 62.52%. Imagine calculating the costs for landfill disposal and transport of this material per annum, reducing that by 62.52% just by removing the water and seeing the cost savings. This allowed us to provide proof to site that with installation of our machinery, they could reduce their lorry movements and disposal by 3 to 1 and not only that the water removed from the material could be diverted back into their plant to be used rather than dripping out of the lorry down the motorway. With the increase of landfill tax increasing by £26.00 per tonne next year and talks of the Landfill Water Tax Rebate being scrapped, now is the time to look at your process. Do you deal with this material and would like to know more? Casey@compactandbale.com #innovation #landfill #disposal #costsaving #recycling #AD

🚧 **Recovery of Cement Spillages: At Process Vacuum, we are committed to maximising efficiency and minimising waste. Our latest initiative focuses on the recovery of cement spillages, ensuring that no material goes to waste! In the past the client had to risk lives to collect the spillage and reintroduce the product back into the production line or waste it. As per the photo. We've implemented advanced #Recovac mobile units to collect spilled cement and feed it back into the Process. This innovative approach not only enhances the operational efficiency but also aligns with the clients sustainability goals. 🌍✨ Here's how it works: 1. Spillage Collection : The Recovac mobile units swiftly gather any spilled cement from the plant floor. 2. Reintegration : The collected material is then transported back into the clients process. 3. Reuse : The recovered cement is reintroduced into the production cycle, reducing waste and conserving resources. This process not only helps our clients maintain a cleaner and safer work environment but also significantly cuts down on material costs and environmental impact. It's a win-win for their business and the planet! 🌿🌟 Join us in celebrating this step forward in sustainable manufacturing! 🎉 Contact us if you would like to know how we can provide a solution in your process. #ProcessVacuum #CementRecovery #GreenManufacturing #Recovac #recoveryvacuum

ecoLocked, an innovative company specialised in biochar-based concrete additives. These additives offer an eco-friendly alternative to traditional concrete components by incorporating biochar, a carbon-rich material derived from organic waste. By using biochar, ecoLocked's products reduce the need for cement and other raw materials, which are typically associated with high carbon emissions. Not only does this significantly reduce its embodied carbon footprint, as it locks the carbon into the structure until end of life, it also provides other benefits compared to standard concrete. For example, ecolocked's additives can enhance the durability and strength of the concrete or improving its insulation properties and decreasing its thermal conductivity and weight. 🔎 Find ecoLocked on our platform using this link: https://lnkd.in/eHCwfVgR
