🤝 Local partnerships are the lifeline of comprehensive care support. They create a network of resources that can address the multifaceted needs of individuals requiring care. 🏥 From my experience, when social care providers, local businesses, and community organizations collaborate, the quality and accessibility of care soar. This synergy ensures that care is not just a service but a community mission. 🌱 Take, for instance, a local clinic partnering with a food bank. Together, they can tackle not just medical issues but also nutritional deficiencies that may hinder a patient's recovery. This holistic approach is vital for comprehensive care. 👥 Encouraging comments and thoughts on this can spark a conversation on how we can strengthen our local care networks. What partnerships have you seen or been a part of that have made a difference in your community? #HealthcarePartnerships #CommunityCare #LocalSupport

Building the platform for healthcare professionals to collaborate, communicate, innovate and make the world a healthier place TOGETHER at ZNA. JOIN the movement to transform the healthcare system from WITHIN!
Communities are the ones most directly impacted by healthcare interventions, yet they are often excluded from the decision-making process when it comes to new programs and policies. When healthcare initiatives designed to improve outcomes are not informed by community interests, concerns, and needs, they often miss the mark. True, meaningful community engagement is key to driving lasting change. By fostering partnerships and building coalitions, we can mobilize resources, influence systems, and act as catalysts for changing policies, programs, and practices. This kind of collaboration can significantly improve health outcomes by driving both environmental and behavioral change, ultimately advancing health equity. It's time to listen to the voices of those we serve and transform the systems that affect their health. What are your thoughts on community engagement? Let me know in the comments! Image comes from the article "Assessing Meaningful Community Engagement: a Conceptual Model to Advance Health Equity through Transformed Systems for Health." #communityengagement #communityhealth #healthequity

𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 Despite the significant challenges that health care has experienced in recent years, Providence remains unwavering in our commitment to helping others, especially the poor and vulnerable. It’s what our Mission calls us do to do. In 2023, Providence invested nearly $2.1 billion in community benefit programs, including free and discounted, low-cost care; subsidized services; and proactive community health improvement programs. This significant investment represents an increased focus on addressing root causes of community health issues. Addressing the needs of our communities is at the core of our values. These strategic investments play a crucial role in meeting essential health care needs, removing obstacles to care, building community resilience, and driving innovation. I encourage you to read our 2023 Annual Report to Our Communities for a detailed overview of these investments. The report also features inspiring examples of our programs in action and highlights how we are making a lasting and meaningful impact on the lives of others. I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Providence’s caregivers, physicians and community partners across the seven states we serve for their invaluable support.
