Retail, Finance, Economics. Transformation Agent. Strategy. Leadership. I am Data Analysis & AI enthusiast. I lead from every angle.
My best experience (yet) in Marks and Spencer was recorded in the last two days. It was my 24th and 25th day on my retail journey in #M&S and a milestone for me. The highlight for me was on culture reset delivered by Stuart Machin on the first day. A fantastic corporate culture will: 1. Improve our relationships with customers; 2. Lead to better engagement with colleagues; 3. Improve our love and passion for the M&S brand; 4. The value perception of the brand grows. 5. Grow brand value and continous growth in stock values. The end result is to Serve (Customers), Sell (products) and fill (up the shelves). The simplification of the operational procedures by Sacha Berendji will go a long way in making it easy for managers at all levels to deliver on the simplified business objectives ( #ServeSellFill ), to make the golden quarter a golden one for the business, particularly the East Anglia Region. SIMPLY PUT 1. Culture Reset 2. Mindset Set 3. Operational Reset 4. Business Unusual To my team (regional & Store) leaders Joanne Herd Rebecca Edwards Tom Harwood Graeme H. Samantha Sievewright and all of our team managers, this is the best East Anglia Golden quarter (YET).

Big shoutout to Neiman Marcus for making moves to boost diversity, equity, and inclusion at work! Their ESG report statistics are pretty awesome and show they're serious about creating a workplace where everyone feels included. I love that they're not just talking about gender diversity but also making sure everyone has a fair shot at promotions, no matter their background. And check this out - they've got a fund for managers dealing with employees with disabilities and a cool benefits package. It's clear they're all about supporting their people. Plus, they're even recognizing disability-owned businesses in their supplier program, making sure everyone feels seen in the brands they sell. They had some bumps with layoffs last year, but Neiman Marcus is keeping it real with steady promotion rates and solid diversity policies. Major props to them for moving in the right direction, and here's hoping more companies follow suit to make workplaces inclusive for everyone!" https://lnkd.in/gXSw6axk

What an incredible evening at the Thunder Business Networking and Collaboration Night! Derek Caswell, Senior VP of Marketing at MidFirst Bank, Will Syring, VP of Corporate Partnerships with the Thunder, and Rick Jones, Owner of Post Oak Toyota, shared invaluable insights on creating and sustaining an A+ sales and service environment. Here are some key takeaways: Employee Motivation: Age, particularly among Gen X and Boomers, plays a significant role. Providing experiences that allow employees to showcase their expertise is crucial. Understanding individual needs and fostering a servant heart mentality are also key. Company Goals: Creating a workplace where employees want to stay is essential. This includes focusing on cultivating a culture that supports the company and employee goals. Managing Younger Sales and Service: Motivating younger employees, who may not be driven solely by monetary incentives, requires a different approach. Emphasizing problem-solving skills and setting group goals can be effective. Bonus: I won an autographed picture of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander from the Thunder! The Thunder's victory against the Clippers added to the excitement of the evening. What a fantastic event overall! Additionally, the Thunder's celebration of the Chinese New Year with the Asian Chamber of Commerce was a beautiful and enlightening experience. It was a great opportunity to learn about and celebrate this important cultural event. #SalesAndService #EmployeeMotivation #CompanyCulture #ThunderFamily #ChineseNewYearCelebration

Head of Social @JKMovingServices ⚡️ I offer tips on creating CURRENT digital content that works for your brand
When was the last time your employer thanked you for your hard work? Davy Shanko and I were asked to join JK Moving Services' & CapRelo's executive team meeting today. When we arrived Chuck Kuhn let us know that they simply wanted to thank us for the difference our work is making for the organization. Wow. Can we talk about how good that feels and how important it is? When employees are recognized it: ✨ Boosts morale. (I'm flying high this morning.) ✨ Creates an environment where employees feel valued and respected. (Is there anything more important?) ✨ Increases productivity! (I'm ready to create more amazing content!) ✨ Promotes employee loyalty. (Feeling appreciated makes you want to stay.) ✨ Encourages innovation. (When employees feel valued, they're more likely to share ideas and contribute creatively.) Beth McNamara thank you so much for your guidance over the past year and your trust in my abilities. Bonus: I'm still learning new things everyday thanks to you. And to all the employers who take the time to say "thank you" to their teams: your acknowledgment means the world to us! Barry Morris, David Cox, Andrea Bunch, Paul McCullough and thanks for taking the photo Jeff Parker #Leadership #EmployeeAppreciation #JKMoving

Culture needs to be at the forefront of your sourcing. Just because something’s interesting in the market doesn't mean you will be a better owner of that company, says Lisa Marchese, Head of Corporate Development at American Express. You need to focus on culture to avoid problems down the road. Over at American Express, they don’t buy companies unwilling to sell the business. They only acquire companies excited to be a part of their organization. #Mergersandacquisitions #mascience #diversity #culture #strategy
