Listening to the whole of this podcast with change your perspective on life! Three takeaways…. 1. Look after your physical self. 2. Look after your mind. 3. Make memories… life is short! #HealthIsWealth #BreastCancer #LivingWithCancer #WorkingWithCancer Liz O’Riordan
Multi-Exit Entrepreneur | Investor | Board Advisor | Co-chair of The UK’s Invest In Women Taskforce - creating the world’s largest funding pot for female-powered businesses
Our guest this week on The Better Life podcast is one of the most inspiring women I’ve ever met. Dr Liz O’Riordan is a former breast surgeon, a three-time survivor of breast cancer, amongst the UK’s leading breast cancer experts, an author of 2 books, and a trusted voice in the breast cancer survivors community. Her YouTube channel, podcast, and books have helped millions of women better understand their bodies, diagnoses, and health. Dr Liz is a reliable source of science-backed information in a sea of misinformation. She combines her professional expertise with her personal experiences, this is part of the reason why she’s been able to build such a strong community online. Anna and I believe all of us could learn a thing or two about resilience and reinvention from Liz. Listen to the whole podcast here: https://lnkd.in/eywPdhRx

A personal ask, please share and listen to this amazingly brave and vulnerable podcast about dealing with terminal cancer. My fabulous friend, Sarah Ed, is one of the hosts alongside Jeremy Langmead, so of course there is a sprinkle of humour! This podcast brings some warmth to one of the most daunting questions a sufferer of terminal cancer will face ‘How long have you got?’. Please give it a share and a listen ☺️ #awareness #howlonghaveyougot #podcast

It’s impossible to get through life without at least one life altering event. Perhaps for you, like Liz O’Riordan , it was a cancer diagnosis. Perhaps it was a death in the family. Perhaps a divorce. Being made redundant. These moments of wholesale change bring piercing clarity to what your priorities are. What you believe in. What you are willing to fight for. And what you must let go in order to grab on to a different future. There’s no reason why these moments cannot be moments of greatest personal development and growth. But you don’t need to be side-swiped by events in order to live a life better aligned to what really matters to you. Our brains are wired for learning. For continual reappraisal and upgrade. If this is truly your one precious shot, and life will give you 🍋s, the question for you today is, are you squeezing the very most from the days you’re gifted? V
