My 2 cents Only.... ✅️Utilise Technological Advancements: invest in Digital Mixers for multitrack production on Sundays. Move into in-ear monitoring and MD using click track, guides. ✅️Be Open to Collaborations: Feature other artists in your song or project. We don't seem to do that often. ✅️Organize Songwriting Workshops: Let's digress from music concerts where we sing cover songs and move into creative writing of full and complete lyrical, musical arrangement. ✅️Access to Markets: Find a Digital Aggregator and use it. whether it's CD Baby, TuneCore, Distrokid or others. Also find a PRO to be affiliated to like Arpra armcos. ✅️Music Education: Register with Eyrie School. they are doing some great things. ✅️Have a Diverse Influences: Widen your lenses. Refresh the repertoire of music you have been listening to for the last 10 years. Maintain originality but get inspired by others. ✅️Artist /Band Development: Here is a Gap in PNG I see that needs to be addressed. I see Sonburnt doing it for Unique Bond recently. ✅️Feedback: Be humble enough to allow yourself to receive direct feedback and support from others around you or ahead of you, fostering adjustments on your craft and allowing room for Improvement and growth.

A part of understanding our diverse classrooms and students is by engaging with diverse knowledges, resources, writers and artists - the list goes on! If we seek to build on our student’s funds of knowledges in the classroom, or forefront historically marginalised voices and knowledges, this is a key step. This is also relevant to AITSL Standard 3.4 - 'select and use resources', which are widely varied and engage student's in their learning. One example from my own practice is bringing music into my classroom, and my focus has been on First Nations artists from across the country. Attached below is my current playlist, built up from my own finds and with inputs from students who have suggested new artists and songs – they are the best resources! When I use music as a starting or talking point in my classes, it opens up a world of interesting discussions and deeper understanding, especially when relevant to the lesson content. Give it a listen! (Post by: Tahlia)

Helping music teachers create engaging, value-based content that helps generate more interested students
I helped a piano teacher double her enrollments in 3 months. She was frustrated—her lessons were great, but no one was signing up. 😣 We sat down, and I asked her: “Who is your ideal student? What do they care about?” That’s when everything changed. 😮 It’s not about pushing your lessons—it’s about speaking directly to the students who need you. Once we changed her messaging, her enrollments skyrocketed. 🔥 If you’re a music teacher struggling to fill your classes, let’s discuss how strategic copy can help you grow.

Why do you want to integrate the arts into your teaching? What are you trying to accomplish? For example, when I integrate music listening experiences into my classroom, I am teaching students as much about the music and its meaning to us as I am using music to help us write great poems and stories. Students first experience the music (one song for one week), then they are ready to use those experiences to develop their writing skills. It takes effort to truly integrate the arts into your teaching and your students’ learning. I help music & arts educators implement culturally responsive curriculum & instruction | Music & Arts Education Consultant | Professional Learning | Curriculum Writer | Keynote Speaker
“How can I represent the different cultural backgrounds of my students when there are so many cultures that they represent?” This is a question I get asked often by music educators, and I remember having this very same question myself. Culturally responsive teaching isn’t actually about representing every individual culture in every rehearsal or lesson, instead, it’s about creating learning environments and instruction that connect with learners and affirm who they are. There’s not one way this can look, and in my upcoming book, Music as a Vehicle, I specifically share ways that you can create instruction that connects with your learners without feeling overwhelmed by trying to represent every culture individually. Additionally, Music As a Vehicle provides practical strategies for navigating cultural diversity in your classroom, guiding you toward cultural proficiency in music education. With this resource, you'll feel confident knowing how to get on the path to connecting with each of your students, no matter their background. Music As a Vehicle releases on October 21st, but when you pre-order you get these amazing bonuses: 🎵A signed copy by me - hurry signed copies won’t last long! 🎵An invitation to a private virtual book release party on October 21st! 🎵An electronic copy of chapter 1 so you can get started right away 🎵Guaranteed delivery by release day on October 21st (when you pre-order by 10/1) 👉🏾Click the link to pre-order your copy today! www.MusicAsAVehicle.com Interested in buying a bulk order? Founder @ Hart & Songs | Rights Management Expert | Artist Manager | Educator | M.A. | Ex-SoundCloud
A common issue I see with many of our clients at Hart & Songs is whether they’re correctly collecting their mechanical royalties or if songs are missing from their catalog. One tool I love is The Mechanical Licensing Collective’s Public Search database, which I use to cross-reference my clients' catalogs—even when they’re signed with a publisher or publishing administrator. It’s crucial to regularly verify registrations because I often find gaps where something fell through and recent songs aren’t being collected. LINK ---> https://lnkd.in/g58WKxnh Simply assuming that your publisher or publishing administrator handles everything isn’t enough. Regularly checking with your PRO and other collection organizations can help you keep track of any missing registrations and ensure you’re collecting everything you’re owed. #MusicPublishing #RightsManagement #Publishing #Music #MusicManagement #Catalog #Royalties #MLC
