This will enable different systems to work together. This also has the potential to enhance: data exchange, compatibility, standardisation, and integration. 👉The report emphasises the importance of transparency, fairness, safety and inclusion in AI. 👉The report warns against solely relying on human oversight to solve AI challenges. Instead it advocates for a balance between automation and human processes. It is an interesting read, it is important to have the perspective from industry as well as government in regulating AI. #AI #GenAI #GPAI #AIRegulation #cybersecurity #security #cyber #tech #data #datapeivacy #AIAct #EUAIAct #CISO #CIO

EU Leading the Way: A Milestone in AI Regulations! 🌐🤖 Back again after Christmas and New Years celebrations... looking back at the news in December, I somehow managed to miss that EU ministers have hammered a groundbreaking AI regulation - making the EU the pioneer in setting robust rules for AI use. As someone passionate about cybersecurity and innovation, this move marks a significant step, putting EU businesses and researchers in the forefront of trustworthy AI. 💪 🧠 The regulations, planned for implementation by 2025, bring a balanced approach. Transparency requirements for tools like ChatGPT will ensure innovation through Ai but without compromising security. And stricter guidelines ensuring responsible and ethical AI practices. For those of us deeply invested in the tech landscape, especially in cybersecurity, this development underscores the EU's commitment to shaping a future where innovation goes hand in hand with accountability. Exciting times lie ahead! 🚀🤖 Stay Safe! #cybersecurity #thepowerofdata #thepoweroftogether #proact

#GentleReminder Data Privacy in the Age of Gen AI: A Quick Reality Check With the rise of generative AI tools, we are witnessing unprecedented innovation that promises to make life easier. But at what cost? Many of these tools come with invasive access, such as the ability to delete or modify your data, often without clear visibility. Even more concerning, any changes made by AI could still be attributed to you, the user—not the tool—leaving you accountable for actions you didn’t directly control. Let’s not trade convenience for compromised security. It’s time we pledge to be more mindful about the tools we use and the permissions we grant. 💡 It’s time: Don’t approve invasive access, no matter how seamless the promise seems. Your data is your right—protect it! #DataPrivacy #GenerativeAI #TechEthics #CyberSecurity #AI

Well that was a timely topic to cover…as the EU Parliament has adopted the AI Act yesterday! There is one last step to turn it in law but that should be a formality more than anything else. The law will then be fully applicable 24 months after its entry into force, except for: bans on prohibited practises, which will apply six months after the entry into force date; codes of practise (nine months after entry into force); general-purpose AI rules including governance (12 months after entry into force); and obligations for high-risk systems (36 months). You can find some more details at the link below: https://lnkd.in/dyVrXeXW #euaiact #ai #cybersecurity
