Adobe is adding some new generative AI tools through Firefly model to it's Photoshop creative software which aims to give users additional ways to control the designs they generate and offering photorealistic quality with improved lighting and detail. Powered by Adobe's new Firefly Image 3 foundation model, these new tools are available today via the Photoshop beta desktop app, and will be released to all users later this year. One stand out feature is the 'Reference Image' tool which let's users upload an image to guide the AI in producing matching/similar styles and colours. This approach simplifies and streamlines the design process. Additional generative AI tools available in the Photoshop beta app include 'Generate Background' which replaces and creates new background images for things like product photography and 'Enhance Detail' which increases clarity and makes images appear sharper. Adobe is also focusing on user responsibility for copyright, introducing a "do not train" tag under its Content Authenticity Initiative. Using new Photoshop Beta improved Generative AI Fill #Adobe Introduces One of Its Most Significant Photoshop Updates Ever. -Users can #augment the feature using a #reference image, promising more realistic and accurate results with enhanced control. #Adobe’s new Firefly Image 3 Foundation Model is now available #natively within Photoshop, where it powers #GenerativeFill, #GenerativeExpand, and, of course, #GenerateImage. Creatives can use a reference image when using Generative Fill, and they can also use a reference image for Generate Image and Generative Expand. In a similar spirit, the new Generate Similar feature enables creators to iterate AI-created content using selected variants. There are also new tools that AI doesn’t power. In the new Photoshop beta, Adobe is adding an #Adjustment Brush that enables users to apply non-destructive adjustments to specific areas of an image, similar to tools already available in Lightroom and Adobe Camera Raw. Adobe is also implementing an improved font browser, with real-time access to Adobe’s 25,000-plus fonts in the cloud.
