Leadership can be win win for the #leader too - not something we often think about! Queen Elizabeth knew the value of both commitment and engagement, she knew her people were also committed to her ideals. When we, as #businessleaders reflect on our ability to lead our teams, we need to show the commitment back to our teams that they show to us; when was the last time we looked at how our colleagues were responding to our leadership style and approach? This is very important to do on a regular basis as both perception (evaluation) and direct feedback are critical to successful leadership outcomes. For today's #salesleaders, modelling is super important in a world of hybrid engagement with customers. We need to demonstrate both commitment to our propositions and values, we also need to model the cadence and approach we expect of others. Sometimes this is learning and often it is re-learning. Observation, reflection and feedback (via questioning) works for both customers, team members and our wider colleague group. Hospitality is a career choice that must be connected with passion for service to other people. It is an industry where the main USP is the connection you are able to create with your guests and most profoundly with your teams. Hospitality is a very complex and challenging environment where the engine of your restaurant, bar, hotel or club is the team, and the screws, pistons and different parts of that engine are the team members that form part of it. The main goal for us managers should not be a big number at the end of the month. Revenue is not a a goal, it is a by product of the goal: having a cohesive team, that can projects unity and one common philosophy to every guest at every point of contact. Winning is not an end goal, it is a result of improved defence, better passing, game creation and shots on target. What spoke to me was Dr. Kristy Goodwin's talk where she said: "We need to be mindful to reframe our relationship with stress as it dictates how we physiologically respond to situations as well as dictating our performance."   Not only have I been using her amazing tips but I learned: How you perceive stress affects both your physiological response and performance. As she said try to reframe stress as a natural part of your work environment and a feeling of excitement, rather than a threat. The physical feeling you get with stress are very similar to the physical feelings of being excited. So, reframing this feeling by practicing techniques like positive self-talk, power posing, box breathing, etc to improve your stress response.

Best leaders never forget to practice their life and always remember to respect their staff value their passion and dedication and not to ruin their perspective you are always saying helping your Staff but instead rejecting them because you are selfish.
