Crush Movement is what this country but also the world needs. Women supporting women to succeed. Katja Presnal and Anna Pyykkö has created Crush Movement with passion and I really wish to see Crush Movement flying high, with sold out conferences around the world. If you don't know yet what the Crush is, take a look and think if you help to spread the word about it. As a former blogger, I know too that growing organically takes a lot of time and effort. So spreading the word and the knowledge about it is the least we can do to help others grow. #CrushMovement #Womensupportingwomen #womenleaders Ps. I don't work for the company, just supporting the cause :)
Be part of the momentum! In Finnish we have a saying “pieni ja pippurinen”. Small but peppery. That’s who we are. Small but spicy movement with a mission to close the gender gap. In the past month we have directly reached over 50,000 people through our social media, website and newsletters. (Reach: how many people have seen our messages, not how many followers we have. We have more followers all together.) Over 60% of this group is professional women living in Finland. We reach thousands of women CEOs. In addition we’ve worked with multiple partners, and thanks to that visibility we have reached at least three times that amount. We might be small… but our message is peppery 🌶️ Want to be part of the movement? Contact Katja Presnal for ideas what kind of online and event visibility we could create for you, now when the skillet is sizzling hot 🔥

Happy International Women's Day! Let's celebrate the incredible women who are breaking barriers and shaping the future of tech.👩💻 #iwd2024 #WomenInTech #InternationalWomensDay #DiversityInTech #EmpowerWomen #adtech #InGamePlay
Happy International Women’s Day I have worked in the (male dominated) tech sector most of my career and got the battle scars to prove it, but continue to love the chance to always push for innovation and change. I’ve had the opportunity to work with many impressive ladies flying the flag (loudly and quietly) for empowering women including Rimma Perelmuter, Jacki Vause, Tarika Marshall long before it became a ‘thing’. My personal focus has always been on hiring and mentoring wonderful females (and guys as well in fairness) and today on #internationalwomensday2024 I want to highlight 📣 one lady in particular Kristina Zhulavska a rising star in programmatic. Speaking of which... last night I got to experience the power of a female-led community at the inaugural Scottish The Women in Programmatic Network who are creating a safe and empowering space for learning and networking. There was no chat about being women but simply experts in their field sharing knowledge and wanting to effect change. Impressive stuff. Thanks for the invite Laura Haggerty & Nathan White and for the great discussion Claire Gleeson-Landry, Muskaan Jreat, Martin Roberts, Simon Watson and Michelle Vint.

Co-founder of CRUSH | CEO whisperer | Content Marketing Pioneer | Keynote Speaker | Author | Talk Show Host | she/her
I used to run marketing campaigns that reached tens of millions of consumers. I also used to live in New York, and now I’m in Finland (population: 5.5M). It’s super easy to feel bad about marketing results I’ve received lately when you compare it to some of the work I’ve done in the past. When I ran campaigns for large brands, in addition to having budgets, I managed a team of 900 freelancers and content creators that we hired for campaigns. When I’ve worked as a CMO, I’ve had graphic designers, copywriters, photographers, videographers, project managers, social media managers, community managers, web designers, and multiple other professionals and outsourced agencies that have helped me to do the job. Instead of being embarrassed by my current marketing work, I decided to be transparent. In the past 30 days, our direct marketing efforts for Crush reached 50,000 people. If we add the work our marketing partners have done to help promote us, the number easily triples. 🙏 On one hand I’m proud of the results, but compared to work I’ve done in the past even with my blog Skimbaco, the numbers are not that great at all. Shitty actually. But I remind myself we are in Finland, and most of the audience we have reached is here too. Some of our social media posts have only gotten 10 likes. We have YouTube videos with 10 views. Growth takes time… I have consistently published content pretty much every day since November 2023. Crush was started as a little side project for us around year and a half ago, and our second conference will be next month. Our marketing and advertising budget is zero euros. Growing with organic content is extremely hard. Even harder when you do it alone. But see… I’m not alone. I see who likes our content and who supports us. It’s not about number of eyeballs that see the content, but who sees it. We still might be a small movement, but I see who our people are and what they do. We are not small at all. Just look who all are part of this: https://lnkd.in/dXXGwbsD

International Women’s Day came and went (though technically this is Women’s History Month). This year I was vice-chair for the International Women’s Forum, Signature Event Gala. It was a great success with Carol Ross Barney, Chicago based famed architect of the Riverwalk among many other architectural wonders. The event was sold out, and everything went great! It was made better by the friendships I gained along the way with some amazing women. Even better is that I had my family there with me. My daughters, my sister and my niece came along. As I thought about what a day dedicated to women everywhere might be, I realized that it is all about the people that support you in your life. The other women that cheer you on. The ones that are not routing for your failure but acknowledge your success (even when you forget). My table consisted of my family and my close knit Peritius team. Thank you. When I started all those years ago, the doubts of what damage I might be causing my daughters (as they were born) was overwhelming. There wasn’t any data that I could refer to that would discuss the benefits of having a working mother. Just the expectation at the time that a woman should be taking care of her children. I bucked that system and had nightmares about what damage I might be doing to my children. My story didn’t end there. It keeps going. I have two wonderful, smart, successful daughters that I realize did what they wanted in their life. They both have careers. They both are successful, intelligent, kind women. My choices may not have directed my children into what they should do with their lives. Yet, I do believe that I showed them that there were options. I dreamed that there would be equality in pay as well as the boardroom by the time they got to this stage. Sadly, they will experience a version of the same that I did. Maybe not as extreme but still there. Here’s wishing that International Women’s Day has no purpose one day. When we have equality in pay and in the boardroom, maybe, we won’t need to celebrate this day. It will be normalized that men and women and people of color have the same chances to be recognized and rewarded. #internationalwomensday #peritius #equality #success

In less than 24 hours, the world will usher in the International Women’s Day. It is time to #InspireInclusion, as March is the month to champion the power of women's voices and drive positive change. Listen to some authentic voices from Avtar-- women who have pushed boundaries and written their stories of motivation and success. And we have not just one but four reasons for you to grab the opportunity to hear them, this season: -They are stories of resilience and courage as they have seamlessly navigated veering paths. -They narrate tales of hope and confidence as they have turned adversities into opportunities. -They exemplify inspiration as they have not feared the most sweeping change. -They illustrate the art of embracing the self with passion and grace. Please take a look at the comment section for details. Rashmi Ravindran Anju G Parvathy Sridevi Bharadwaj Lakshmi Vijaykumar #InternationalWomensDay #IWD #ContactUs #InspireInclusion

Happy International Women's Day 💖 Why do we celebrate this day? Well, see it like an independence day... For many years, we were expected to conform to our rulers' wishes, confined to certain places and jobs, often abused, and treated as second grade citizens. Sad thing is that this prevails in many places across the world That said, today we celebrate the road traveled and change achieved to date 👏 It is important, however, to acknowledge that we're not there yet On days like today, we like to point to some of the women who have achieved greatness, to serve as inspiration to others And they rightfully do exactly that! ❤️ Yet, when you peel away the pretty rainbow ticks and plastic data we so love to flaunt as some indicator of success... You'll see individuals struggling to get support, mentorship and sponsorship from those who still hold much of the influence and power: Men. You'll see job ads that speak to men. You'll see men speaking over women in meetings, or outright quieting them. You'll see start-up/business owner environments that are unwelcoming to women. You'll even still find absolutely gross sexism, Sweety 😉 We have work to do...and we need men to roll up their sleeves too. This isn't a "woman problem"...it's a human issue. Diversity breeds innovation...we all need each other at the table. #InternationalWomensDay #womensday #dei
