On 28 May 2024, the Thai government announced major updates to its visa policies to attract more global citizens, digital nomads, and skilled professionals alike. The new measures will be rolled out in three stages with the aim of boosting tourism and attract skilled talent in focused industries. The first stage, which became effective on 15 July 2024, focuses on visa-free entry and the introduction of a new visa for foreigners who will be working remotely from Thailand. I am totally chuffed that PDLegal LLC Advocates & Solicitors particpated in this year's CJ's Cup Charity Futsal! It is the first time we have done so. The tournament was highly competitive, yet all teams displayed great sporting spirit and camaraderie that we have long associated with our Bar. It was important for the legal community to come together to support worthy causes and I would like to thank the Singapore Academy of Law for organising this wonderful event. Long may it continue! We did get not past the group stage this year despite our best efforts. But we will train harder and hopefully do better next year!
The CJ's Cup is an initiative that has, over the years, raised much needed funds for Yellow Ribbon Singapore. PDLegal LLC is grateful to have contributed and participated in this initiative. It was also a fulfilling experience as the legal industry bonded over sport. However and more significantly, all of us in the industry came together as one with desire to improve our community. That is most crucial to us, and certainly a heartwarming endeavour.
