Yesterday's U19 cricket world cup semifinal between South Africa and India saw a perfect example of what difference mental ability can bring to the game. 1. India who had one all the league stage matches batting first had the self belief to put the Proteas in to bat first after winning toss. 2. South Africa hadva above par score when they piled up a 244. 3. India reeling at 34 for 4. 4. Captain Uday Saharan stitches a 171 run partnership with Sachin Dhas. Both batters playing their natural game. Sachin played a brisk knock of 96 and Uday a controlled knock of 81. 5. Holding on the fancies of playing a glory shot is thecname of the game. Application and ability put together bring about innings of this class. 6. South Africans missed the trick or two when they went a little complacent after making a massive dent in Indian batting order. 7. A mentally strong team never ever gives their opponents any chance to bounce back. They play ruthless, they do not relax before the mission is fulfilled.
