The Benguela Railway (português, Caminho de Ferro de Benguela), defined by CFB, is one of Angola’s national railway societies located in provincial of Benguela. Benguela railway line, with its 1,344 kilometers long, extends from Atlantic Port of Lobito to Luau, Moxico provincial. It is backbone of Lobito Corridor.
Benguela’s railway connects maritime port of Lobito with the mining basins of neighbouring landlocked countries; Zambia and Katanga in Democratic Republic of Congo. All imports and exports pass through Port of Lobito, making Benguela Railway a crucial link in freight transport chain. The train via this railway connects countries within Southern African Development Community (SADC) to Atlantic Ocean as well as opening up Angolan provincial of Bié, Huambo and Mexico.
