I commented at the end of the day to her that she did not sound well, which she acknowledged and agreed she was sick with a blocked nose and ears. I told her she should call sick and that she might pass her sickness on to other crew members and passengers, to which she responded that calling in sick would cause her problems with the company and that it is better to work sick... In 2020, an estimated 200,000 toy-related injuries were treated in U.S. hospital ERs, with most cases involving children 4 and under. According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), an estimated 231,700 toy-related injuries were treated in U.S. hospital emergency departments in 2023: 7 Tips for Safe Toy Shopping This Holiday Season: Follow Age Recommendations: Choose toys based on the listed age. Beware of Small Parts: Avoid small pieces to prevent choking. Avoid Sharp Edges: Ensure toys don’t have sharp or dangerous edges. Check for Long Cords/Strings: Keep cords under 7 inches to avoid choking. Say No to Magnets & Button Batteries: These can cause serious harm if swallowed. Be Careful with Old Paint: Avoid toys with lead-based paint.
