Your help is urgently needed to save imperiled species pushed closer to extinction by decades of political instability and civil war in South Sudan. Poaching for bushmeat and ivory from elephants has decimated their populations, along with those of giraffes, lions and cheetahs. Elephants and giraffes are keystone species that maintain the African savanna and support the largest antelope migration in the world. This extraordinary ecosystem is under intense pressure from oil, gas and mining development. Even worse, flooded grasslands in this region could be developed for high-production agriculture if not protected. We must act now to save habitat for these declining populations. With your support, Rainforest Trust and our partner, African Parks, will help to re-establish two National Parks that lost protection during the war and safeguard the unprotected acres in between as Community Conservancies. You can help protect over 9.3 million acres in South Sudan. Today, Giving Tuesday, your generous gift will be tripled up to $100,000. Donate now and together, against all odds, your Giving Tuesday donation will help save these legendary species and safeguard one of the last and most exceptional wildernesses in Africa.
