Recruiters can be invaluable when you do a job search. But how do you find the recruiters in your industry and make the most of their services? Brad Near recently shared his trips and tricks for working with recruiters. He’s the CEO of Ranier Recruiting. It’s a boutique agency in Seattle, Washington that represents hundreds of openings across North America. Brad and I recently recorded a new episode of “Find Your Dream Job,” our weekly career advice podcast at Mac's List. We talked about what makes recruiters different from other HR professionals, common misconceptions about how companies like his work, and how to find recruiters in your industry. Brad’s top tips included the following: -- Look for a boutique agency  in your industry. You’ll likely get more attention and better access to employers in your field. -- Understand who pays a recruiter’s bills. Recruiters want to hear from applicants, but it's important for job seekers to understand that they work for employers. -- Never pay a fee to a recruiter. Corporations pay these costs, so  there is no cost to the candidate. Brad’s interview with me on “Find Your Dream Job” goes live on October 4, 2023. In the meantime, check out the Mac’s List website or wherever you get your podcasts for more than 400 other “Find Your Dream Job” interviews with career experts like Brad Near. #recruiters #jobseekertips #careerpodcast
