I want to swim but I will start when the sea is perfectly calm. Which means never. But could one not start right away in a small way? Even if your startup idea is half-baked and you can't quit your job, could you share your ideas on a blog and start building an audience? Even if you don't have time for your dream gym routine, could you start with some walking, and maybe 10 pushups a day? Waiting for perfect conditions is a great strategy for immortals. Meanwhile, mortals should just get going. *** At HabitStrong, I run programs to break digital addictions, inculcate focus, overcome anxiety, and more: www.habitstrong.com

Absolutely! Waiting for the perfect conditions is like waiting for the traffic to clear up - it's a myth! If you wait for your startup idea to be as perfect as your mom's recipe, you might never serve it. 😂

Giving up the fantasy of perfection is the first & most crucial step towards upskilling.

Absolutely! Taking small steps towards your goals, even if the conditions aren't perfect, is a wise approach. Starting with manageable tasks, like sharing ideas on a blog or incorporating a bit of exercise into your routine, can lead to significant progress over time. It's often the consistency of effort that makes the journey worthwhile.

Waiting for perfect conditions is a great strategy for immortals. Meanwhile, mortals should just get going. 😃 A glad reminder of our immortality & 'Just Do It' attitude. No matter how simple, small, tiny or miniscule. In 'doing' lies the key to real success. 👍 ✌

Absolutely spot on, Rajan! Your post reminded me of the saying 'Don't wait for the storm to pass, learn to dance in the rain'. It's all about taking baby steps and gradually building up momentum. Like starting with 10 pushups a day and eventually working up to that dream gym routine or sharing your startup ideas on a blog before quitting your job. Perfection is an illusion; progress is what matters.

A dream gym routine is just that, a dream. The amount of exercise you need is much less than what you think. 60 minutes of exercise/week is all you need to improve your health. That's 10 mins, 6x a week 20 mins, 3x a week 30 mins, 2x a week Get started. You don't even need a gym. Rajan Singh

One small action is better than a thousand sessions of thinking about the perfect time. It gives a sense of movement that culminates in momentum.

And things aren't as complicated as people make them. Just a simple 30-minute walk can create a good impact.
