Some of us who celebrate Idul Fitri and going home to our hometown as part of “Mudik” annual ritual last week, this weekend or today have to drive, ride, or fly back to our place to continue our life and back to our routines. I, personally, use the period of “Pulang Kampung” to reconnect with my big family. During the period, I am sharing what happened in my life, but more importantly, I am listening to my mom, siblings, uncles, aunties, nephews, nieces and cousins about what they were up to in the past 12 months. Engage with such conversation is always fascinating. As a person, I am enjoying this opportunity to find insightful stories from various members of my big family. I usually will use the information to recalibrate my mind in answering my fundamental inner question, “Am I happy?”, “Have I been thankful enough with my situation”, “Anythings from my relatives’ stories that I can learn to make me a better person?”. Then I usually will come up with 2 or 3 things that I plan to do. Not in writing, but nail those in my mind. For me, “Pulang Kampung” is a time to: - reconnect, - recalibrate, - recharge, and - rejuvenate. How is your “Pulang Kampung”? Note: For those who are starting or still on their “arus balik” journey, please be safe… it’s another test whether our Ramadan and Idul Fitri gave us the level of “sabar” that we should have as a good person.

It is a time when various religious leaders, saints, and gurus gather to impart spiritual wisdom to the masses. Apart from the religious aspect, the Mahakumbh serves as a platform for showcasing Indian culture through performances, traditional art forms, and exhibitions. It is a convergence of faith, culture, and unity, as people of all backgrounds come together in the spirit of devotion. Organization and Logistics : Organizing the Mahakumbh requires meticulous planning, as the event attracts millions of people. The authorities ensure the provision of adequate infrastructure, including temporary accommodations, sanitation facilities, and transportation. Security is also heightened during the event, with the deployment of a large number of personnel to maintain order and safety. In addition to the logistics, the event promotes environmental sustainability. Measures are taken to ensure the cleanliness of the rivers and the surrounding areas, with efforts to minimize the environmental impact of such a large-scale event.
