👁️🗨️ Unmasking 'Dark UX Patterns' 👁️🗨️ When we talk about UX design, we often picture user-friendly interfaces created to be accessible and transparent, all in pursuit of providing positive user experiences. But there's a twist. 🌀 In some instances, UX designers leverage users' common behaviours on websites and apps to subtly influence them into taking specific actions. This is what's known as "dark patterns." To tackle these issues, the Indian Government has released draft guidelines to curb 'dark patterns' used by online platforms. The draft guidelines aim to clearly define and identify these dark patterns so that action can be taken against platforms using them.
