Great thoughts on leading software developers. - In short, have a plan to make decisions before you start the project to ensure your team isn't structured to fail to make good decisions. - A bit longer, use the "Bubbas" model of decision making. Bubbas are a group of stakeholders who are up to date on the requirements, needs, and progress of the project and are empowered to make resource commitments. They work together under the supervision of a Bubba chief (who is vested with the final say) to solve problems as they are identified. Let the Bubbas get it done.
