Having 5 interviews in your recruitment process isn't going to help you hire the best talent. It helps you hire the best talent willing to put up with your silly recruitment process. Increase your chances of getting the best talent by simplifying your recruitment process. Having a 'competitive salary' isn't going to help you hire the best talent. It will help you hire the best talent from only the 40% of candidates that will apply because of missing salary information. More than double your chances of hiring the best talent by publishing a salary range. Small changes can lead to massive results. It just requires willingness to embrace change. #recruitment #humanresources #paytransparency
Too many interviews usually means poor decision-making or unskilled interviewers. For some roles, one interview should suffice.
Rameez Kaleem Thanks for sharing. Too many stages for an interview process which may also include time spent on research, creating a presentation and practicing it and sharing insights to the employer. If this is their policy, they need to atleast financially compensate to appreciate their efforts.
Hear hear! Totally agree with all of this. Such a simple change to make but can make a huge difference to the hiring process and make you a much more appealing company to work for!
Very true! I can usually tell within the first couple minutes whether the candidate is ideal! An excess of interview stage sis usually a sign of a weak interview process, but also is a waste of time and money. Our platform Ipsumé helps recruiting firms expedite the interviewing process, eliminating the need for 5 interview stages. It helps them scale their business, save time and money, all while presenting the candidate in the the most well-rounded fashion!
This is yet another thing the tech industry has done to make all of our lives worse. Everyone wanted to copy the cool tech companies and their interview processes. Then we start getting things like asking people who are interviewing to be an auditor with a small accounting firm in Savannah, GA, "if you were a zoo animal living on one of the planets in our solar system, which zoo animal would you be, on which planet, and how many phone booths would there be in a square mile?"
Simplifying the recruitment process and being transparent about salary can significantly improve your chances of hiring the best talent. It's about making the process more candidate-friendly and attracting a wider pool of qualified applicants.
Remove bogus “industry experience” requirements and actually outline the required skills, and knowledge your looking for and you’ll improve your applicant pool significantly
Definately not correct. A few people in the pipeline is always food and will always help find the right fit. So will a good salary...
Love this❤️

4mo😂 I guess it is a good test of tenaciousness and keen interest in a company, aside from salary. Joking apart, my best recruitment experiences are where the recruitment process allows for a proper, more informal conversation between the hiring co and candidate. Of course everyone wants to know what the salary is!! A salary range makes sense because not all candidates have the same level of experience or skills but all could be suitable to fill the vacancy for whatever reason....
