Happy Memorial Day Weekend! 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 **Conquering "Murph" - A Tribute to Heroes and a Testament to Resilience** 🇺🇸 On May 27th 2024, I took on the CrossFit Hero workout "Murph" – a challenge that honors Lt. Michael P. Murphy, a Navy SEAL who made the ultimate sacrifice during Operations Red Wings. This workout is more than just a physical test; it's a tribute to bravery, dedication, and resilience. Completing "Murph" – 1-mile run, 100 pull-ups, 200 push-ups, 300 squats, and another 1-mile run (With 20lb vest) – reminded me of the power of perseverance and the importance of pushing beyond our limits. Each rep and every step are dedicated to those who have served and continue to serve. 💪 **Lessons Learned:** 1. **Resilience:** Even when your body wants to quit, your mind can push you through. 2. **Community:** The support and encouragement from fellow athletes are invaluable. 3. **Dedication:** Consistent effort over time leads to remarkable achievements. Eddie didn’t just lift weights; he lifted the barriers of what was thought possible. 🔹 Commit to the Journey One Week At A Time: The road to success is paved with hard work, sweat, and countless hours of dedication. Embrace the process. Eddie didn't get there over a day. 🔹 Overcome Obstacles: Every setback is a setup for a comeback. Use challenges as fuel to push harder. Good weeks, bad weeks, there are 52 of those every year. 🔹 Visualize Success: See it, feel it, achieve it. Visualize your success in vivid detail and let it drive your actions daily. Maybe pulling up 500kg steel is a stretch but know where you are going. 🔹 Surround Yourself with Positivity: Your environment shapes you. Surround yourself with people who uplift and inspire you. Eddie had coaches, close ones and fans to support him, but you have folks who can pat your shoulder too. Use them. 🔹 Celebrate Small Wins: Every step forward is a step towards your ultimate goal. Celebrate the journey, not just the destination. I, personally, hate this logic but it's true. If you don't recognize those small wins you end up depressed.
