Why I found HSE is a very interesting & responsible profession that has been overlooked by the public and private sectors for so long. As a HSE Officer; 1. Without being a qualified doctor, we treat first aid injuries. 2. Without being a qualified technical engineer we do/advice multiple engineering (Thats why HSE is called, "Mother of all Engineering") 3. Without being qualified for an MBA, we are concerned about management 4. Without being an artist, we perform in every morning show which is called a tool box talk meeting. 5. Without being a qualified writer, we write poems and draw up safety posters. 6. Without being a qualified social worker, we do social work (like arranging resting shelters, smoking areas and drinking water facilities). 7. The main thing is, we give all our best covered to all departments of science, Environment, commercial, Human Resources, Administration, arts and management. 8. We do this hard work and want everyone to go home safely to their families. Proud to be a HSE professional. #HSE #Safety #jobs #Motivation #Environment #oil&Gas

-- MY HSE SPECIALIST ROLE: A PROFESSIONAL INSIGHT -- This job constantly evolves based on the needs and expectations of the company. It offers a diverse range of areas to explore, making it an ideal field for those who prefer to avoid a full day of office work. Professionals in this field enjoy significant autonomy, engaging in a multidisciplinary role encompassing legal aspects, standards, on-site studies, training, communication, and technical aspects. This allows them to operate at all levels of the company and in various departments. -- ADDITIONAL INFORMATION -- This profession demands a high level of adaptability to the company's context where the HSE specialist operates. The duties of the HSE animator and supervisor, though diverse, may not always be fully understood by all personnel. Hence, the importance of continuous and well-structured communication. The impact of this profession often relies on the determination of the site manager, who plays a crucial role in the process and may or may not provide the necessary resources.

Salam ✋ Insights on HSE Manager Approvals – A Recent Job Posting Experience Last week, I posted a job opportunity on my profile for an HSE Manager position. The role required candidates to already have client approval as an HSE Manager. To my surprise, out of the thousands of messages I received regarding this opportunity, only 3 candidates had the necessary approval. Many applicants exceeded the client's requirements in terms of qualifications and experience, yet they lacked this specific approval. This begs the question: Why do firms insist on prior approval? There are several reasons behind this preference: 1. Time Efficiency: Firms don’t want to lose time submitting CVs only to face rejection from clients. Time is a critical factor in project delivery, and having pre-approved candidates streamlines the hiring process. 2. Avoiding Penalties: Some clients impose fines and penalties for the absence of approved staff. By hiring already approved professionals, companies mitigate these risks. 3. Client Confidence: Approval signifies a candidate's proven track record and competence, which builds client trust and confidence in the project team. 4. Meeting Project Deadlines: Pre-approved professionals can be deployed faster, helping meet tight project deadlines. 5. Reduced Onboarding Time: With prior approval, the onboarding process becomes more straightforward, as there's less need for extensive training or orientation. While this approach has practical advantages, it also highlights a challenge for many capable HSE professionals. Meeting and exceeding job requirements doesn’t guarantee opportunities if client approval isn’t part of their portfolio. It’s a reminder of the dynamic nature of our industry and the need for continual adaptation and networking. For those in HSE striving for such roles, it's essential to not only focus on qualifications and experience but also to understand the nuances of client requirements and approvals. Your time will come! #HSE #HealthAndSafety #JobOpportunity #ProfessionalGrowth #ClientApproval
