Before I started InCruiter, I had never built or led a team. I was always an individual contributor in my previous job. Interviewing and hiring were never my forte. When I first set out to build InCruiter, I had no idea about how to make a strong team and let alone lead one. During my initial days, hiring a team was always challenging for me. I can vividly recall the days when hiring decisions felt like a shot in the dark, and team dynamics seemed like an intricate puzzle with missing pieces. Being in the HRTech industry, we were struggling to build a strong team. But we took the challenge and tried to overcome this fear. Did I make mistakes? Yes, I even can’t recall the number. Did my decisions backfire? Yes, and I’ve no shame to admit. It’s those mistakes and bad decisions, that inCruiter is what it is today. In the process of shaping InCruiter, I’ve learned, – To find solutions – To embrace the opportunities – To evolve with the challenges – To build a strong team from scratch – And the most important thing is to learn from mistakes If you're feeling overwhelmed by the entrepreneurial journey, remember: that we all start somewhere. Hiring is not a one-day game, we still make mistakes while hiring, it’s a continuous learning process.
