Happy New Year! Happy 2024! Doesn't it feel as if we wished each other for New Year just yesterday? And, at the blink of an eye, 4 months of 2024 have zipped by!! This reminded me of the quote - "The bad news is time flies. The good news is you're the pilot." - Michael Altshuler Yes, it is time to ask ourselves which stage are we at today, 6th of May : - Are we the pilot flying our flights per our own directions at the desired speed, ready to reach the intended destination at the intended time? - Are we the pilot flying our flights per our own directions at the less than desired speed, but on course to reach the intended destination albeit slower than planned? - Are we the pilot flying our flights only per instructions of others, with no control on the destination or the time? - Have we given up the Pilot seat of our own flight, and moved over as the co-pilot not out of choice but of compulsion? - Have we given up and moved into into the passenger seat handing over the flight to someone else who is flying per their own directions, even though you know its not where you want to go. I asked myself the above questions, did my retrospection and know where I am and what I need to course correct. Does this resonate with you? Have you identified which stage you are at? One of my favorite things about Star Trek is how the future looks very different, emotionally. Because in Star Trek, physical needs are completely taken care of. Then what happens? - People feel free to figure out how they really wanna contribute, what their passion is, what they really love to do. - This unleashes a burst of creativity, flourishing, thriving. - Humans feel free to test their best ideas. - Feel the freedom to do their art. - Or turn their life into art by the choices that they make, and the things they create, the things they learn. Is this just a utopian vision far off in the distant future, not available to us now? I don't think so. If we can imagine it, it means we can create it. So how do we bring this Star Trek world more here now? You can coach yourself into it. You can coach yourself into an internal experience where you are completely free, where you are feeling abundant, feeling powerful, feeling like you can really pursue any choices available to you. Right now. This will change what you decide, say, and do. It will create more of what you really want. But your mind will come in and shut that down. Your mind will come in and block that because it doesn't want you to create what you really want, it wants you to stay safe. But that's not the real you. Find the real you. Hold onto the real you. Whatever tools or exercises or processes help you get there. Star Trek humans act closer to how we really are, than humans on this world now. Agree?
