How to make the use of  GPS JAMMERS pointless? The use of GPS satellite monitoring systems for commercial transport is widespread now. However, quite often, drivers of such vehicles use devices that make them "invisible" for some time. During this time, such drivers can leave the route and commit illegal actions. The "NC80" speed limiting device will mechanically limit the speed of the vehicle to 2 km/h as soon as the GPS signal jammer is activated and such activity became detected in control room or stand alone GPS jammer detector. ⚠ Cenex Expo - Important Travel Update ⚠ Due to ongoing roadworks to upgrade the National Power Infrastructure, you are very likely to suffers delays on your journey to #cenexexpo2024 and should allow an extra 30 minutes travel time, if travelling by car.   In order to minimise any disruption, cars and light vans (up to 7.5t GVW) should avoid Marston Moretaine and approach Cenex Expo from the South, using the A507 (direct link to the M1/A1/A421) and coming through Millbrook village, following the event signage to the relevant entrance.   Vehicles over 7.5t GVW should follow the route through Marston Moretaine, but should expect significant delays as the roadworks are before the entrances to Cenex Expo.   We are sorry for the inconvenience that this may cause, but these circumstances are beyond our control.

#throwbackthursday The Hitachi Group Pavilion at EXPO’70, the first EXPO held in Asia in 1970, featured the best of science and technology of the time. As the only main route in the pavilion, Hitachi installed a direct plunger hydraulic elevator. This was a huge 260-passenger elevator that guided passengers directly to the exhibition hall. The elevator is 6 meters in diameter and consists of two circular floors, with a unique structure that can accommodate 130 passengers in the upper and lower cars at the same time. By preparing and piping a spare hydraulic power unit in advance, Hitachi also developed and installed an “acceleration prevention device” at the exit of the hydraulic jacks to prevent accidental acceleration and descent. This ensured that the elevator operated without any interruptions during the EXPO. Attended two great days in ITS World Congress @ Dubai! Thank you very much TomTom for a great booth. The Orbis maps and traffic insights are powerful and innovative tools. I won’t post the contents of the conference but some key takeaway from the 2nd time attending since 5 years ago is - 1. GNSS based road pricing is hotter than before. These are game changers for how connected cars connect to the surrounding environment 2. Environment efficient tech is also popular. Alternative energy and sharing are always interesting 3. Software defined vehicles - also great potential for Location Based Services I’ve exhibited and walked around to see the popularity of our location big data analytics as expected. Also, I was quite surprised to see people interested in our GNSS signal authentication technology, which I was not really exhibiting. Spoofing is very well acknowledged in this region and probably far more than in Japan. GNSS plays a critical role in ITS, and the power to verify its trust is ever critical at times like this when spoofing activities are increasing. I plan to come back again to UAE and the Middle East soon so to those who I couldn’t catch up, please let me do so if you are around in Gitex -
