Our panel will be moderated by Saleh Bessissow (Senior Regulatory Affairs Project Manager at Merck), who will guide discussions on the critical skills, experience, professional network, continuous learning, and leadership development essential for progressing in the regulatory field through three leading voices: Sylvie Ducharme (Consultant at StrategiREG) who has navigated complex regulatory pathways at multinational and startup biotech firms, bringing over three decades of experience to the panel. Her journey offers a roadmap for managing pharmaceutical approvals and understanding the strategic elements crucial for regulatory success in Canada. Valérie Joseph (Director, Regulatory Affairs and Pharmacovigilance at Organon) brings more than 20 years of experience in regulatory affairs. In her current role, she oversees regulatory and pharmacovigilance activities. She supports business opportunities to deliver health solutions that fulfill the company’s mission of improving women’s health. Valerie will highlight the challenges and opportunities of corporate changes based on her transition from Merck to Organon. Khaled Yahiaoui, M.Sc, RAC (Associate Director, RA - Operations at Merck) who will share his deep expertise in RA Operations. With master’s degrees in fields as diverse as Drug Development and Computer Science, and significant involvement in Canadian e-regulations, he will illuminate the intricacies of regulatory operations management.
