A devoted social, policy and market research analyst with extensive experience in the implementation of large-scale research, data analysis, and project management in healthcare and environmental sectors.
NSERC made some improvements to the Alliance grants program in Dec 2023. It also renamed the formerly Alliance cost-sharing option 2 to Alliance Society grants (ASG). The structure of the original options 1 and 2 also changed. Now, there are 3 major Alliance grants, including Alliance Advantage, Alliance Society and Alliance International. We expect that NSERC and other major funding agencies will focus more on the societal impact of scientific research. https://lnkd.in/g6QdMe2d

☎️ Calling all NSF applicants, awardees, reviewers, and enthusiasts! The National Science Board (NSB) is wrapping up its first extensive evaluation of National Science Foundation (NSF) merit review criteria in over a decade and they want to hear YOUR perspectives on the utility of the current criteria! The comment period is short (30 days), which limits the ability of organizations to provide representative feedback, so it’s imperative that individual researchers take the time to share insights gleaned from their experiences as applicants, awardees, and reviewers. Learn more by clicking the link below ⬇️ #scipol #NSF #meritreview #peerreview
📯Attention! The National Science Board (NSB)-NSF Commission on Merit Review has issued a Request for Information (RFI) to inform its recommendations. The commission is reexamining NSF's merit review criteria, policy and processes to see whether it should be revised to increase clarity and alignment with the agency's statutory mission and improve fairness, competitiveness and transparency. To offer insights and suggestions, please respond by 5 p.m. ET, Sept. 20 via the RFI form: https://bit.ly/3TirGS3
