One of the exciting parts of building a brand, is establishing the creative vocabulary that helps reinforce a brand's values. For CosmoProf's LearningCentre, I reverse-engineered the core brand's "sprout" motif, to create a series of patterns from interwoven circular segments. The brand's tagline "Grow. Achieve. Succeed." was also born from this shape, and created to assign meaning, within the new, educational context.

‘Less is more’ when it comes to the trends in the beauty industry this year. 🧖🏽♀️ With the likes of ‘clean girl aesthetic’ and ‘barely-there’ makeup, the beauty buzz has taken a remarkable shift towards embracing the natural and effortless looks that highlight the uniqueness of individuals. 🌟 With this trend being both popular, and encompassing a healthy and important message to promote to the youth of today, we partnered with Umberto Giannini Hair Cosmetics to create a campaign that inkeeps and champions embracing the natural sides of things. Through UGC and on campus sampling activations, our ‘Natural Curl Roadshow’ campaign aims to get students to ‘embrace their natural curls’ with the help of Umberto Giannini’s curl enhancing products. 🚛 🤳🏽 🎀 We recently hosted a training day for our 10 selected curly haired student brand ambassadors to attend. Being from across the whole of the UK, they were all invited to Raptor’s office in London for an intimate and in depth training day experience. 👭🏽 The students were each given the ultimate goodie bags, with the products inside catering for the individual’s specific textured hair type. Sophie Kay and Amelia Talbot-Weiss offered whirlwind mini masterclasses, where the students were given the full rundown on how to use each product to achieve the ultimate curl goals. This approach aims to blend seamlessly with TikTok’s UGC style, making the ad feel more authentic and relatable to the platform's audience. That’s why my strategy sessions have levity built into them. It automatically gets people to drop their walls. And only then can we discover: 🤩 What they’re passionate about. 🦄 What makes them unique. 🌟 What they want to gain permission to show off. When people feel safe and comfortable, they open up more. I'm about to start a 30 day personal brand challenge with the power house that is Emmie Faust and Female Founders Rise. I'm really curious as to how a personal brand can support the business and ultimately create more good in the world and where we're all contributing positively and thriving. I have some fears around it... 👉 will it look egotistical? 👉 will it make sense? 👉 will I be judged? (well, yes I will but can't control that!) 👉 A BIG ONE: is building a personal brand conducive with being a coach (there are some schools of thought that say clients should know very little about you) 👉will I have time? ...and I'm excited to: 🙌 connect with other female founders who probably share many of the same fears 🙌 test out a way of growing the business 🙌 grow my confidence in sharing what I really think 🙌 get out of my comfort zone and take a risk.
