How I Became an Entrepreneur: My Journey from Passion to Purpose Becoming an entrepreneur was not something I had planned from the beginning. My journey started with a BCA from Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya, followed by an MCA from Amrapali University Haldwani . I began my professional career as a software engineer and was content with my life. However, a desire to generate extra income led me to start selling tea powder in Delhi. It was a modest venture, but I managed to achieve a 30% net profit, selling approximately 2000 kg each month. During this time, I became fascinated with optimizing my efforts and maximizing the effectiveness of my work. This curiosity extended to my personal interests in time management, spiritual science, and yogic science. These subjects inspired me to further my education, and I completed my M.Sc. (Yoga) from Maharaja Agrasen Himalayan Garhwal University in 2019. Also completed a course in Entrepreneurship from MITx Courses. Observing the increasing health challenges around me due to urbanization and hectic lifestyles struck a chord. Issues like diabetes, hypertension, mental illnesses, and obesity were becoming prevalent, and the solutions available seemed fragmented and insufficient. Seeing an opportunity in the wellness industry, I registered Varenyam in 2018 with the sole aim of promoting wellness, designed for you. Over nearly five years with Varenyam, we helped more than 30,000 individuals adopt yoga as their wellness activity. Despite our success, I wanted to tackle an even greater challenge: making wellness available globally. In 2021, I co-founded Ajanm.ai with vinit dixit and Prasoon Gupta. We adopted cutting-edge technologies like ML, & AI to customize wellness programs for individuals. Leading Ajanm.ai alongside my talented co-founders has been an incredibly rewarding experience. We've brought together ancient wellness practices and modern technology to create a comprehensive solution for sustainable health. Entrepreneurship is a journey of constant learning, resilience, and adaptability. It's about having a vision, believing in it, and working tirelessly to bring it to life. My experiences, including lessons learned at all my colleges, have taught me the importance of balance in life and business. To anyone aspiring to be an entrepreneur, my advice is simple: find your passion, identify a problem worth solving, and stay committed. The road may be tough, but the rewards are worth every challenge. #Entrepreneurship #Journey #AjanmAI #Wellbeing #Innovation #HealthTech #Yoga #AI #ML #SustainableHealth #Leadership #Inspiration #StartupStory Pic Loc. : Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre

Attention Recruiters! It is more essential to talk with potential candidates instead of asking their social media channels for knowing their virality values.
Beware the "All-Knowing" Social Media Fitness Trainer Superstar The Rise of the Social Media Trainer - Expertise or Entertainment? In an era where every 20-something on YouTube, Instagram, or TikTok seems to be a self-proclaimed fitness guru, we as an industry - and as clients - must pause and question. How did "two years of training" become enough to claim expertise in body composition, weight loss, and even biomechanics? - Age: Early twenties - great energy, but where's the life experience? - Experience: Training themselves ≠ and training clients with varied needs. - Clients: Paid ads don't equal a track record of results. - Failures: What challenges have they navigated? Failures build wisdom, not hashtags. The reality? These "influencers" are often experts in content creation, not client transformation. Worse, they may lead people astray with pseudo-science and unverified methods, damaging trust in our profession. As fitness professionals, we must: - Advocate for real qualifications. - Educate clients to question credentials. - Promote integrity over virality. Let's set a standard! Research your trainers - experience and education matter. Influence is fleeting; expertise changes lives. Followers do not translate to expertise - let’s focus on credentials and real-world results.

Why are Sports coaches = Super humans? It’s not easy to be a sports coach. Each athlete under the coach is unique in the way they respond to training, instructions, diet and communication. But these super humans need help sometimes. Here are the top areas where they need help: 1. Individualisation of Training: Each athlete has unique abilities, needs & goals. The coach has to understand that & design a program accordingly. All this while ensuring the team’s dynamics is optimal. 2. Injury Prevention & Management: how to push athletes without them overtraining, which leads to injury. Balancing this is a significant challenge for the coaches. 3. Time Assigned for Training: A training session is a combination of individuals skill, SnC & group training. Athletes require different combinations of training as per their development plan and performance. The prioritisation of which is often Coaches prerogative. 4. Athlete Buy-in & compliance: An athlete may not always appreciate the importance of a program designed for them. Each one of them has a different understanding of compliance. The coach has to use all the interpersonal skills to get a buy-in & compliance. 5. Monitoring & Adjusting Workloads: Prevention of overtraining while the athletes push the bar is a complex balance. Often coaches take help of technology to get critical data of the athlete. 6. Recovery Management: Balancing intense training & sufficient time for recovery. Recovery is influenced by Sleep, Nutrition, Hydration & MENTAL FATIGUE. This becomes a challenge especially during the season, where peak performance needs to balance with recovery needs. ElevareSport app is designed to help coaches focus on building winning teams. The app records critical information for the coach to evaluate. We are available in India on Android devices. Give it a try. It's so easy, you'll have time to expand beyond the Geographical constraints.

I’ve been coaching in the fitness space for well over a decade. Here’s something I’ve noticed. There’s individuals who have higher education in formal academia, and those who never graduated, or went to college. Regardless of their academics, there are some who come into this space and last 1-2 years, and there’s some who come into this space and are here for 30+ years. It seems that the main separator between the two groups is having the capacity to be self employed. If you need to be employed, be instructed on what to do and have someone write you your paycheck, you’ll struggle to make it. Entrepreneurship. Sales. Creativity. General Business knowledge. These 4 qualities will be vastly more indicative of your likeliness to have success in fitness than an ESS related degree. The take home here is that if you’re obsessed with sport science and training, go to business school or get an MBA. Not a masters in kinesiology. And if those 4 qualities come naturally, you don’t need to go to college.

Really good post and point, Yves Preissler. 🙌 My opnion as fitness marketer and multiple gym owner: I see it as a sign of the time. As evolution, Darwin style. Going back to the old values will not stop this trend. So I suggest: what can we as an industry learn and ride that wave too? I have a 21-year old at home, living the lifestyle of a Mens Health cover model to all aspects. Working out, sleep, food, clothing. He exclusively uses Youtube as knowledge source. And there is so much good information out there, all knowledge that our generation had to learn in school and by self study is now available for free on Youtube. he uses Instagram and sometimes Tiktok as inspiration to find new interesting influencers (or are they called creators nowadays?). And podcasts for both; inspiration and knowledge. When we talk about it he mentions guys like... I don't know any names, but he follows a hand full of pratical, approachable and likeable guys that are ahead of my son's experience and journey. They don't care about certifications, they care about practical results. Oh and he skips brands like Nike as much as possible and buys everything including food online, using his iPhone only.

Do you know what really frustrates me… Hearing dads speak about the results they’ve achieved in the past, But then how they’ve completely undone everything within a matter of weeks. This is a common theme for so many of the dads I start working with. When I’m speaking to them, I can see the level of frustration they have. They feel ashamed of themselves and feel like a failure. This is often the reason they’ve put off hiring a coach for so long. Their past experience of following a genetic fitness programme has meant they’ve lost all trust in coaching. And this angers me. It makes my job as a coach even harder. Because unlikely many fitness coaches or social media influencers… I’m here to tell you that you’re NOT the problem. The problem is most fitness programmes only give a solution for half of your problem. The other half you’re left to figure out for yourself. Most fitness programmes are very good at helping you achieve a decent physical result in 8-12 weeks. But after you’ve achieved this result you’re hung out to dry. They haven’t taught you how to make this part of your life so you can actually keep these results. Do you know how I know this? Because a few years ago this is what I used to provide as a coach. I was only focused on helping people achieve a physical result. But through my 10 years of experience as a coach and my own personal journey, I believe I can provide the solution to the REAL problem. Which is NOT how to lose weight in a short space of time. It’s how you can build personal structures, systems, and routines into your life, Meaning you can perform at your very best personally, physically, and professionally. So this is me laying down a marker. I want to separate myself from the crowd. What we do inside the Unbreakable Dad Programme is very different. Things are evolving so I can help dads on a deeper level. This is no longer known as a ‘fitness programme’. We are a personal performance programme for business owners and career driven dads who want to demand more from their life. And this is just the start of things to come.🔥
