Nailed it 📌 Alzheimer’s disease is a multifactorial condition, and it’s time we approach it as such. The era of viewing different pathways as isolated events in explaining the disease is over. Our focus must shift toward understanding the interconnected mechanisms driving the multiple pathologies that occur in Alzheimer’s disease. This requires expanded interdisciplinary collaborations and a more holistic approach to therapeutic strategies. To achieve this, we need improved models of neurodegeneration that better replicate the phenotypes observed in patients. Human iPSC-based models will be instrumental in reaching this milestone, paving the way for more effective treatments. We’re getting closer, but there’s still a lot of room for improvement!
