Screening and Early detection is the key to Breast cancer cure . 1.Self breast examination once a month , if the women is above 30 years of age. 2. Clinical Breast examination once every two years with either a Mammogram or an Ultrasonogram appropriate to age. 3. Avoid Tobacco and Alcohol 4. As of now, the exact cause of breast cancer is still unknown. What is known are the risk factors that can increase the likelihood of developing breast cancer, namely: 1. Smoking and exposure to secondhand smoke 2. Poor diet (high in fat and low in fiber, containing preservatives/coloring agents) 3. First menstruation at age under 12 4. Menopause (cessation of menstruation) after age 50 5. Having the first child after age 35 6. Never breastfeeding 7. Having undergone surgery on the breast due to benign or malignant tumors 8.
