I’m thrilled to share with you B&B Hotels Sustainability Vision 2030, the new chapter of our journey towards sustainable travel!   We have a crucial role to play in the transformation of the tourism industry that requires to define a clear path forward and identify innovation and new business models that will accelerate this positive change.    This new chapter of our sustainability strategy outlines the roadmap and milestones that are necessary to achieve this vision and to set the highest standards in the hospitality industry in order to meet global environmental and social challenges.    Three pillars are supporting this strategy that translate vision into action:  👉       EMPOWER EVERYONE 👉       ADAPT TO OUR ENVIRONMENT 👉       CONTINUOUSLY INNOVATE TOGETHER   I'm particularly proud of the series of quantitative targets we have collectively defined as a company and are committed to achieve. We decided to follow a scientific and robust approach to develop these targets, for example:   🌍 Climate We are committed to reduce our carbon footprint in line with planetary boundaries: - 50% scope 1&2 absolute emissions by 2030 compare to 2019 - 28% scope 3 absolute emissions by 2030 compare to 2019   🦋 Biodiversity - Restore 100% of new build areas through nature-based solutions This illustrate our ambition to focus on both operations and supply chain and use our network of 770+ hotels as a potential driver of biodiversity regeneration while increasing carbon absorption capacities.  A big shout out to our Sustainability managers network for the collective work!
