🎄 🎅 🎁
'Twas the week before Christmas, when all through the building,
The vibes were festive, launching a Season so thrilling,
With new content, and updates, and tweaks so divine,
The devs can breathe easy, knowing things are mostly fine.
😉
Hello everyone! I'm very excited to share that I have completed buildspace's Nights & weekends season 5 and me and my friend Prashant Saxena have created something amazing – StreamSage!
It's a one-stop watchlist for all your favorite movies, anime, web series, and dramas. Over the past few months, we've poured our hearts and souls into building StreamSage.
The idea came from our own struggles in tracking multiple shows across different platforms. We wanted a simple, user-friendly solution to keep everything in one place, and thus, StreamSage was born!
Here's what StreamSage offers:
Comprehensive Watchlists: Add all your favorite shows, movies, and anime to a single list.
Easy Tracking: Keep track of what you've watched and what's next.
Personalized Experience: Tailor your watchlist to your preferences.
Creating StreamSage was an incredible journey:
Prashant and I brainstormed the concept and designed the user interface using Figma.
I handled the frontend development, utilizing Tailwind CSS and React.
Prashant took charge of the backend with MongoDB and Node.js.
We developed StreamSage as part of Buildspace Nights and Weekends Season 6, and I’m very happy to have completed it. Demoing at Nights and Weekends was a fun experience, and the teamwork and dedication truly paid off.
Feel free to share your thoughts with us. We're always looking to improve and would love to hear your feedback!
Thank you for your support, and happy watching!

I bet you can relate to that amazing feeling when you finally finish a tough task after working on it for months.
Well, that was exactly how I felt on Monday when my team and I presented our computing and informatics capstone project to our professor, as part of our coursework.
When it comes to carrying out a team project, it's important to brainstorm ideas, work together, be up to the task, embrace challenges, stay determined, and focus on the goal.
This is absolutely vital in business endeavors and the workplace because teamwork is highly valued.
𝐔𝐍𝐎𝐅𝐅𝐈𝐂𝐈𝐀𝐋 𝐀𝐍𝐍𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓...
I'm happy to report that my team, coined APPBuilders by myself, successfully finished creating a website. It's called 'Guess The Artist,' and it's an interesting guessing game that tests your knowledge of music.
It was a mix of backend (Python and Flask), API connection (LastFM and Lyrics.OVH), handling data (JSON Bin), and frontend (HTML and CSS), all combined into one.
PS: We initially tried using Spotify API, but we ran into some problems, so we switched to the other APIs.
We divided up the work, and I was in charge of making the website look nice with CSS. I think I did a pretty good job!
I'll let the video below do the talking!
The website may not be super fancy, but it meets all the requirements and our professor was really impressed. The whole team is really proud of what we accomplished.
What do you think of the website, from the video? Do you like how it looks, how it's organized, and how it works? Does it look very user-friendly?
Please share your thoughts in the comments below.
PSS: I have no knowledge of this quiz and am not a big fan of the artists.
Big shoutout to the team, it was awesome collaborating with you! And a massive thank you to our professor for the incredible support.
Thank you for taking the time to read through! Best of luck in all your future endeavors!
Hey Oladayo, just tagging you so you can see the end product.

Day #5 🌟 Exciting Update: Enhancing My AirBnB Clone with Flask! 🚀
Just wrapped up another productive day of coding for my AirBnB clone project, and I'm excited to share some awesome progress! 🏡💻
Today, I focused on enhancing the functionality of my Flask application, and I'm thrilled with the results. One of the highlights was integrating City objects with their respective State counterparts, a crucial step in building a comprehensive platform that mirrors real-world associations. By structuring the API to reflect these relationships, I'm ensuring a seamless user experience for exploring different locations and properties. 🛠️✨
But that's not all! I've also been hard at work refining the connections between various entities within the app. Through careful implementation of new endpoints, users can now dive deep into state and city data with just a few clicks. And with the addition of POST requests, creating new cities and linking them to their parent states has never been easier. 🔄🌆
These improvements mark an important milestone in my AirBnB clone journey. With each iteration, I'm getting closer to delivering a platform that not only meets but exceeds user expectations. I'm incredibly proud of the progress I've made today and can't wait to see where this project takes me next! 💪

Hey folks!
🚀 Super Stoked to Share My Latest Endeavor: Alpine Groove Guide! 🚀
You know me—I'm all about where community meets the arts. Fueled by the legendary spirit of WWOZ and their awesome "Livewire" and our very own Colorado Springs/Front Range scene, I've been cooking up something special. Introducing "Alpine Groove Guide," the go-to digital spot for finding the coolest music, events, and cultural gatherings in town. 🎺🎶
📈 Current Progress: (Near Beta testing!)
💥 Backend Magic: I've used this project as a means to tighten up my Backend API skills, the project is complete with user sign-ins, registrations, event submissions—you name it. All Postman tested and, soon this baby will be ready to keep you looped into the local scene like never before.
(BE Stack: Node.js, Express.js, PostgreSQL)
🎊 Frontend Fun: Tackling TypeScript and getting my hands dirty with Next.js has been a blast. The app's shaping up to showcase events and streamline how we connect. I have Auth, Registrations and Logins working great, and I'm on the brink of nailing down event submissions.
(FE Stack: React, NextJs, TailwindCSS, and TypeScript)
🏔️🕺 "Alpine Groove Guide" is more than a project—it's my shout-out to the rhythm and soul of Colorado Springs and the Colorado Front Range. Whether you're looking to dive into our local culture or just scouting for something fun, this guide's your ticket. With the beta version nearly ready to drop, I can't wait to see how this brings our community a little closer!
I've been considering implementing a small subscription model down the line to keep this ship sailing smoothly, making sure "Alpine Groove Guide" stays lit as our community's go-to event calendar.
Keep your eyes peeled for what's next and massive thanks for the love and support from my friends, mentors, and peers. Check out "Alpine Groove Guide!" Let me know what you think 🌟
(here's a taste, a screenshot, of the basic - "Iteration 1" of the Event's page, More details and features to come!)
